Adventure Time

I absolutely love this show. New episodes air on Cartoon Network Mondays. The show is replayed all throughout the week, though. Started watching it earlier this year and am currently making my way through it. You can probably pick it up at anytime but I wanted to go in chronological order, and that has definitely benefited in certain parts. It'll probably get labeled as one but it's definitely not just a kids show, and that you can figure that out by watching any episode.

Some truly great and hilarious episodes. Some of my favorites have to be "Ocean of Fear", "Memory of a Memory", "What Was Missing" and the brilliant "Adventure Time with Fionna and Cake", where all of the characters in the show are gender-swapped. Anyone else a fan? Also, as you can see by my avatar, I'm a big Lumpy Space Princess fan. "MY BEANS!"

I put this on for my 9 month old daughter all the time. I don't know if its appropriate but she seems to like it haha. Its definitely wacky, in a good way.

This show is one of my favorites on cartoon network right now. My favorite episodes are "Another Way" and "Gotcha". So many amazing quotable lines. It feels like a cartoon written for adults that kids can appretiate. This show along with Regular Show feel like things that would thrive on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim time block.

The ratings wouldn't be as good on Adult Swim. And the merchandise wouldn't be at Toys R Us and Wal-Mart. The show is where it belongs.

Isn't blu-ray about high definition? How much detail do you need out of simple cartoon art like this?

The more detail the better, honestly. If it's there I want to see it. Animated films often have the best video presentations on Blu-ray.

For anyone who is impatient about waiting for episodes to come out on DVD you can purchase the show on Amazon. They even have it in HD. I've already purchased a few individual episodes. I'm really starting to like using Amazon's streaming/instant video service. Netflix > Amazon > Hulu
