I'm excited for Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. I love Tobey's Peter Parker but his Spider-Man was mostly stunt men and CGI. At least with Garfield they made the effort to have him under the suit as much as possible and also give him plenty of voice-overs.

I love how Night Wing does everything in his power to derail a thread. Hahahaha
On a different note, read some reviews for this, on top of this review, everyone is kinda wishy washy about this film. I'm not really shocked since most did not want this reboot.

It's got a 91% on RT right now. I don't mean for this to sound sarcastic because I do genuinely want to know - where are you seeing these "wishy washy" reviews? I'd like to read a negative review, if only to read a different perspective.

I'm not wishy washy. I said more positive things with few flaws

The CGI of lizard looks quite impressive so watching him go rampage is pretty sweet. I like the new web slinging with the gadget and some of the POV didn't work for me but thankfully there isn't a lot.

I am curious that there was no Abraham Lincoln or Brave movies review thread before this one.

I don't like CGI in general... Too much takes me out of the film.. But just because I don't like it doesn't mean I can say it looks bad you guys will like it if your looking for good CGI creatures

One thing that kind of seemed distracting to me was the change from web shooting from his wrists to a mechanical web shooter strapped on his wrist. Did they still keep this element, and if so, was it a step backwards over the originals?

I liked it a lot actually.. It wasn't distracting at all actually and it made him look kind of a badass the way they incorporated with the sound and mechanics of it.

I can def see where you are coming from with the whole being down on Lizard as the villain, i said from day one that he just doesn't make for a very interesting movie villain, a giant lizard as a bad guy? Just seems stupid, might work in the comics but that doesn't mean it will work on film.

EDIT: Okay, I cannot find the reviews. I'm not sure if they were removed, or proven false, but I did see a couple 3's. So, of course I look like an idiot.

POV scenes are in it? That seals the deal for me. No chance am I sitting through snippets of a video game. It may sound fickle, but christ, it's really obnoxious and incredibly gimmicky.

Ive lost confidence in burton, i really hope he didnt destroy a very well written book with this movie. I just hope it captures how much pain lincoln had to deal with in his life.

![]() I am so glad they went back to web shooters - I didn't think that was beyond Peter Parker's abilities as they said for Raimi's version. I also think the Lizard is a really good choice for villain and I like the ceiling clips I've seen - I don't recall Raimi ever putting the action on the ceiling before. Also glad to see Parker's snappy patter - someone asked him once why he made all those jokes in the middle of all the danger - and he said because if he didn't he'd probably cry

That's what makes things interesting sometimes - he has to all of a sudden scramble around for an innovative way of defeating villains because his web shooters run out of fluid at inopportune times

you can see where they fail in the trailers... quick cut but it is clearly there.
but i want 100% confirmation that there are pov shots... yes or no?

Burton did not do Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. Maybe you should study a movie more before giving your opinion. Not trying to be mean but you could benefit from any knowledge you can get.
