It got a standing ovation at the Venice Film Festival. I guess it depends on the crowd. Sounds like it could be a nichy movie... and considering that Harmony Korine is the director, that doesn't surprise me.

Just a warning. He makes very strange, non-mainstream Films. He's acquired taste.

Kids isn't his film though. That's Larry Clark, Korine was just the writer. Clark also did Ken Park, which is good, but hard to watch (it felt dangerously close to porn). Korine was the writer on that one too. Right now, Korine only has Gummo, Julien Donkey-Boy and Mister Lonely. Other stuff like Trash Humpers...well, I don't know how to explain that one, or his shorts. They just exist.

I always feel that way when I see him in a cast listing, but he was really good in 127 Hours and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

I think his appearances as Harry in Spider-man really tarnished my opinion of his work in general though

James Franco looks bad-ass! I'm definitely watching this. The girls look sexy too..
Selena is actually in a movie called Getaway out in August. I was surprised to hear that she was the leading lady.. but it looks like she's all grown up and is holding her own. I'm gonna see Spring breakers for the sex-factor, and Getaway for the thrill. It's gonna be one heck of a ride!

Although, with that being said, it seems like one of those "love it or hate it" type movies. I haven't read a single in-the-middle review. Either they say the movie is brilliant or it's trash. Fascinating nonetheless.
