Cool Once Upon A Time

Easily, the best pilot of the season. If you like fairy tales, I suggest you watch it. It airs Sundays on ABC at 8pm.

I'm already hooked as well. I've always liked the fantasy/magic genre, so this was right up my alley. I like how they're bouncing back and forth between the present Storybrook town and the past magical kingdom and revealing the story that way. But one thing that struck me a bit odd was how the dialogue during the magical kingdom scenes seemed almost too modern.

But yeah, my personal favorite of this season's pilots. Glad to see Jennifer Morrison get more work after House.

The pilot got some pretty good ratings even though it was competiting against baseball and football.

should be noted, this will probably be the lowest watched world series in a long time, and the football game had a winless colts team on the road.

not what i would call stiff competition. but i'll check out the show.

Regardless... it got pretty good ratings. Which is good news cause there's no risk of it getting cancelled at the moment.

Grimm does look pretty cool as well. But it's on NBC, and airing opposite Supernatural, so I wouldn't get too attached.

Supernatural just lost me as a viewer because it replaced Angel on the WB and I felt Angel would have been better or a Spike spin off series. That Michael Emerson show with Jim Cavizal is the best new show i have seen so far this year. Then Terra Nova.

"Person of Interest" and "Homeland" are tied as the best new shows from me just because they have had a hook every episode that makes you tune in more and more.

I haven't seen "Homeland" yet but I find "Person of Interest" to be a little too cold. "Once Upon A Time" is at least fun and imaginative.

Well this wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Probably the best of the new shows my girlfriend made me watch.

So I checked out the premiere on Hulu. I must say, it was pretty fun!

Grimm isn't JUST airing opposite Supernatural. It's also airing opposite Finge, which in my opinion, blows everything else on Fridays out of the water, Supernatural included. It's why I won't be watching it. I can only record two shows at the same time. Fringe and Supernatural wins over some new show.

Trying out Homeland. So far so good. Havn't seen Person of Interest yet though. Sounds like something I'd really like.

More reasons to be skeptical of the show's success.

Completely in agreement with you. Plus, Grimm just looks like a cheap knock-off of Supernatural; lone heroes, in this case hero, fighting against monsters...only this time, he works WITH the police. Yeah, pass.

Supernatural is probably the worst show the wb ever did sci-fi wise. It was ok first 2 seasons but now it sucks worse then Angel ever did. Grimm might not be too bad.

Nope, Supernatural is still good. Second best show currently on television, behind Fringe, IMO.

http://www.deadline.com/2011/10/rati...ere-in-week-2/

It looks like ABC has a hit on its hands with Once Upon A Time. In its second airing, the fairytale drama drew a 3.9 rating/10 share in 18-49, matching the fast national for its series premiere last week. (It was adjusted up to a 4.0, which will likely happen this time, too.) Once Upon A Time has emerged as the breakout broadcast drama hit this fall and is certain to land a full-season order shortly. It has been a big fall for series with fairytale elements with NBC’s Grimm also opening well on Friday. I’ll update with more ratings info shortly.
