I like the title. A Good Day To Die Hard sounds badass. I like it better when they have McClaine save an entire city as oppose to saving a small group of people in a sandbox area.

He will never see Die Hard. Hopefully Justin Lin directs the 6th film. Or they might get Micheal Bay you never know.

From a purist perspective it's just not Die Hard. John McClane doesn't go around looking for trouble. He doesn't go on rescue missions. He's not some supercop. Save that for Rambo movies. John McClane has always been a 'wrong place wrong time' reluctant hero. One of the reasons Die Hard 4 failed on a story level is that they forgot that, they made him the supercop. This one just sounds ridiculous, title aside.

I agree they need to chill on the supercop aspect. And make this film Rated R so he can be his old John McClaine self. But I still like the saving an entire city from terrorists or country angle they did in the last 2 films.

My friend I am already there myself. I think we're allowed to mock each other but I may be wrong, my Balding Man's Handbook has only recently arrived and I have yet to remove the cellophane wrapper.

This movie will be officialy doomed if they cast Paul Walker as the son

Apparently him, Ben Foster,Paul Dano and someother guy are on the studios short list for the son.

Ben Foster out of that choice would be the best option probably, but this whole son dynamic sounds stupid.

I too blame Bush, mainly due to his name being hairier than my head.

I agree with everything you stated. To me the only true Die Hard cannon is Die Hard, and Die Hard 3.

Die Hard 2 was decent for what it was. But 1 and 3 feel like a complete story. I don't even recognize the existence of the 4th and will do the same for the 5th. Plus I can't stand the PG-13 trend

In any case, this means that before settling on A Good Day to Die Hard, Rothman and Fox must’ve rejected any number of “die” title puns, which may or may not have included:

Die Hard Another Day
Live and Let Die Hard
2000 Ways to Die Hard
Romeo Must Die Hard
Die, Die, Die Hard My Darling
To Die Hard For
Funny or Die Hard
Get Rich or Die Hard Tryin’
John Tucker Must Die Hard
The Quick and the Die Hard
Things to Do in Denver When You’re Die Hard
The Die Harder They Come
Die Hard Ticket to Hawaii
Damn, Girl, You’re Gettin’ Me So Die Hard Right Now
To Live and Die Hard in LA
Boys Don’t Cry Hard
Pie Hard

Bruce Willis is getting so old they're going to have to name this next one something like "Didn't Die, but No Longer Able to Get Hard"

Actually, I think it will goes for PG-13 and not an R rate. I wasn't sure if they will made a decision to conversion from R into PG-13.

This should be rated R....though i doubt it will , which blows.

I miss GOOD R rated action films.

Don't ever call me like that. That's not appropriate to call me a troll. Listen, I am not troll. got it?
