All the futuristic Batman incarnations have had zepplins in them but like you said theres nothing as solid as they presented out. Anything and everything is possible. That's why I like Paul Dini so much. Also, a little side note. Paul Dini did write a ton in Batman The Animated Series(and there was Zepplins there).

I don't think it's going to take place very far in the future personally, but I could be wrong.

I honestly don't care. As long as they do it well. It was really never established in the game where it took place but then again I don't think it was ever a big deal.

I just finished re-playing the first game on hard; there is quite a big difference between normal and hard. I pretty much walked through normal, only having a challenge on some of the predator areas. On hard, basically everything was a pain. Combat wasn't all that different (although it did take a while for me to get used to playing without the lightning bolt 'counter' indicators), but you take a couple of hits on hard and you're done. The titans are horrible... although, I was going for the Mano-a-Mano achievement (beating a titan without any gadgets) and had to really take my time with that first pair that Joker unleashes on you.

The main difference between normal and hard though is that you really have to be on your guard on hard. On normal, you can kinda just walk through it like I said above. I've played a lot of games like Assassin's Creed or Prince of Persia with easy combat systems, so I adjusted very quickly to normal. But with hard, I found myself taking cover more, hiding more, using more batarangs and trying to set traps for enemies in general. Hard was a lot more fun though. I totally recommend it to anybody who hasn't played through it yet.

Batman: Arkham City Coming 2011
Warner Bros. names new Batman.
August 5, 2010

Warner Bros. today confirmed the title and release window for the next Batman videogame developed by Rocksteady Studios. It's called Batman: Arkham City and it's coming next fall to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

As the title implies, Batman is headed to Gotham City for the sequel, which has now become the new maximum security "home" for all of the city's criminals. Not much else was revealed. WB says the game will feature a brand-new story, include a new cast of classic characters and villains, and new enhanced gameplay features.

The (amazing) covers of the new GameInformer confirms Catwoman will be in Arkham City, and by the looks of it, will be playing a major role in the story.

Arkham City was one of several names registered for the game picked up on last month. Two other confirmed villains so far include Mr. Freeze, played by voice actor Maurice LaMarche, and Talia al Ghul - daughter of Ra's al Ghul - played by actress Stana Katic.

Actor Mark Hamill confirmed to us in an interview last May he'll be reprising his role as the voice of Joker for the game for the last time ever. "This will be my last, there's no question about that," he said. "But it's the last hurrah."

I'm so happy that it's got a year release date as well as a title. Batman Arkham Asylum was probably the best game of 2009. And I'm hoping this follows in it's footsteps. Also, if you haven't seen the new Game Informer cover, please do. It's highly impressive.

Longer wait then I was expecting, but I'm willing to wait for quality. Let's see if Rocksteady can meet expectations.

If you look closely, you can see the "I want you" Two-Face poster in the backgorund of the second cover.

Yeah, Rocksteady delayed the **** out of the first game. I imagine this won't be any different that or they already planned for that hence such a late release.

Also, I love the colors, that white design is badass.

Yes, I would like another trailer, at least explaining a tad bit more of the story.

Yes. Also with more glimpses at the villains.

I'd like to see a gameplay trailer. If they did start working on it right after AA, then it could be possible. And how big would you guys like the game world to be? Assuming it will be like the first and be one big map, and it obviously now being a city, I wouldn't mind it being on the same scale as GTA3.

Meh, i hope they stick to the linear design of the first game.

Yeah. I'd much rather see a linear design within an open-world setting (like AA) than I would a sand-box style like GTA.

I'm not saying I want it open ended, but I would like the map size to be similar to that of GTA3.

Yeah open ended is just, idk, opens it up too much. I think something with like a Hitman approach, maybe a tad more open would be better.

I'm hoping we get a look at Wayne Manor and the Batcave, would be awesome.

I'm interested in open ended, but I'd be down for open ended or linear design.

I already read some of that but a few things are already new information. I'm completely pumped for this game. I'm going to agree with the majority of everyone who played the first one and say multiplayer is a bad idea. So stay away from that Rocksteady.

Also, Catwoman looks like a page out of Jim Lee's work, that being said, hot damn that looks good. I can't wait.

I agree. I'd much rather they spent those hundreds upon hundreds if dev hours to make better challenge modes. They were kinda meh in the first game imo.
