You know Glee sucks when it intends to feature Justin Bieber in future episodes.

This season has been a little back and forth for me, and that can be seen pretty easily with the Super Bowl episode which I didn't particularly like that much and then the quick turnaround and fantastic episode that aired last night. Pretty much every storyline worked perfectly and the musical numbers were great.

Dianna Agron is so great and it's a bit shocking she doesn't get more screen time, seeing that she has one of the most complex characters on the show. The scenes between Quinn and Finn were fantastic, and the fireworks going off as they kissed were a wonderful touch of unexpectedness that hasn't really been seen since season one. Finn and Rachel in the nurses' office was pretty heartbreaking also, and Rachel's performance of "Firework", while extremely simple, was my favorite from the episode (Lea Michele, just wow). And Chris Colfer keeps knocking it out of the park. Great episode.

Chris was great with the Warblers. In fact, one of my favorite parts was their performance in the store.

I dunno what's going on where you guys live, but something weird happened. Glee is one of those shows that for the most part girls watch. We all know someone, mom, girlfriend, sister, someone who watches Glee, and to most of us it looks like a dumb, not very funny gimmick kinda show. However, I have never watched it, most people I know have never watched it, we just know it looks pretty bad. We leave the fans alone, and for us ignorance is bliss.

Until now.

I actually watched the episode with my buddies that was on after the Super Bowl. We just didn't want to get up or bother looking for anything else on tv, so we decided to watch what became some of the worst tv any of us have seen in a long, long time. It confirmed everything we suspected about this show; not funny, not clever, completely outrageous storylines, and just plain gimmicks to drag easily entertained people into the next episode. 'Madonna episode' or 'Journey episode' or whatever.

The reason I bring this up is because a lot of people did the same thing. Everyone from my co-workers to CA radio hosts, people who had never watched the show before, picked up on it after the Super Bowl, and everyone said in unison how bloody awful it was. It was almost like the opposite happened of what they were going for. I heard it eeeeverywhere. Not to rain on the parade of the fans or anything, just stating what happened at least where I am. Anyone else catch this?

Well, most of us caught it way before the Superbowl episode. Probably around the beginning of season 2 actually. They had something going for it at the very beginning, and every song had a reason for being in the episode. Nowadays, they are just singing songs by artists that will draw the most audience, with paper thin plot and near zero character development. Like I keep telling my friends who are still fans of Glee, if they still think that the show is worth their time, they need to be watching more television. It has been over-rated for a very long time now.

You're looking at a life-long musicals fan. That's why I watch the show.

not funny? true.

not clever? true.

outrageous storylines? very true.

But it's entertaining for people like me who loves musicals. It's not the best, but it's what we get so I don't complain. Plus, I have loads of quality shows out there to keep me company (i.e. Big Love, True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, Rubicon, Fringe, ect...). So guilty pleasure shows like this shouldn't worry anyone but me.

This season's episodes seem to be in a rotating factor of good or OK to great and last night was a great episode. It didn't really focus on any main storyline that has been in this season, but instead we got some great character development from Will, Rachel, Kurt and even Blaine. I loved the main performance for "Blame It (On the Alcohol)", and the whole premise right before that with them all in the halls was great. Their singing for that was pretty fantastic too, especially Artie. And the party scene at Rachel's house .

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

Also, another Eric Stoltz directed episode. Nice. I'm also enjoying the friendship and interactions that Coach Beiste and Will have together.

...Gloria Estefan has also been cast to play Santana's mom. And WTF? Last night, Helen Mirren was on Glee as the inner-voice of Becky Jackson, the girl with Downs. How the hell they get her? When I heard the voice, I immediately checked the imdb and freaked out, lol. Oh yeah... next week is the Michael Jackson themed episode.

Helen Mirren as Becky's inner voice was the best! I'm kinda excited for the MJ episode (in two weeks because of the State of the Union address). I'm sure it'll be plotless (I don't expect much in terms of writing from Glee), but the numbers look really cool, especially Smooth Criminal with 2Cellos.

The moment I saw a picture of that musical number and immediately remembered them;

I firmly believe that this is what a musical number between Sam & Dean would look like.

The best part of the episode, Warblers are back. I gotta admit, if they made an original album, I'd buy it.

Weird facts about the Warblers: All of those boys can sing, but aren't actually the ones singing (at least in season 2, season 3 sounds a little different, so I think they might've let them do it this year). The Tufts University Beezlebubs are the ones on all the season 2 tracks behind Darren Criss. He would fly out to New York to record their arrangements in a day. The boys you see are the same ones who do the singing in the backround of the transition music and a lot of the background vocals on New Directions tracks.

Also, there was a Warblers compilation last year, just fyi.

I did not know that about them. I had always just assumed (judging by the fact that every other cast member sings their own songs) that the guys did too. That's pretty interesting to know, especially the part about them being the background vocals for the New Directions.

Also, I kinda (you can call me pathetic, I won't mind) own every glee song ever released, and already made up an entire Warbler playlist, lol. Look, with so many of my old shows gone, I only have Doctor Who and for some reason Glee, to be obessed over.

Forget about the show... I wanna see some of these so-called 'hacked' photos from Heather Morris that the news is talking about, lol.

Glee finally returned tonight...

Okay, so I gotta get this off my chest. Is it weird that I am now able to sit through an entire episode of SMASH on NBC and want to see more when the episode ends, yet tonight I found myself skimming through the entire episode of Glee just to see the musical numbers? I'm sorry, but as addicted to Glee as I used to be, I now find myself seeing nothing but the silly-aspect of the show. I saw it before, but wrote it off because of the musical numbers. But now, I see a show like SMASH and realize; that's how a musical tv show is supposed to be done!

I'ma be a total Gleek over here for a minute, so I apologize in advance...

Last night's two-hour episode (Props, Nationals) were amazing, with Nationals easily the best of the season (if not best of the entire shows run) right beside "Hold On to Sixteen" and "Michael". Props had a huge cheese moment with Tina hitting her head and having a fantasy of being Rachel for half the episode (which was sad because it was only after becoming Rachel did she get her own solo moment). But all in all, the episode had a great finale song by Lea and Jenna so it was forgivable. This is what I was talking about in my above post, about cheese factors totally ruining a shows face value.

Nationals on the other hand was perfect from start to finish, with them wasting no time with cheese factors, silly sub-plots and/or stupid musical numbers like with last season's Nationals. This time it was all about the training, song selection, amazing performance numbers and finally, a much deserved WIN for the New Directions. THIS, is how Glee is supposed to be. THIS is how it should always be but never is. Sad, sad fact. Anyway, it was obvious that they were going to win because this was their last run at it (for the seniors anyway) and it'd be weird to have them lose now. Stupid even. Still... worth the wait.

As for song selections, I'm not a major Gaga fan, but the New Directions' Troubletones did an amazing job delivering "The Edge of Glory" with each member having a chance to share their vocal solos throughout. And yay, they finally put Tina and Quinn in there where they belonged from the start! Unholy Trinity united once more, lol. Lea Michele always does her best, but some of her best work of the season had to come with her performance of "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" (originally by Celine Dion).

She hit the notes perfectly and did that song justice. I was only able to see one other person do that, and it was Meat Loaf, though with less vocal range yes, but much more emotion. He did it proud. Speaking of Meat Loaf, their final performance of "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" was what really brought the house down. They did an amazing job. I know that Vocal Adrenaline changes their lead singers on a regular basis, but this new singer Wade (Unique) is pretty awesome in the lead. He/She did a pretty kickass job delivering the performances with great execution and vocal range, I was pleased.

All in all, a great episode and a great way to begin to say goodbye to the senior class. I know they said a lot of them would return next season, but with a new Glee club being formed under Tina and the remaining class, I don't see how much time they'll be able to put into continuing the storylines of the seniors. I feel like with Degrassi, they'll slowly fade the college students out over time and just keep them around as cameos and such to please the masses. Sad really, but something that must be done if they want to keep the show fresh and moving forward.

So anyway, that was my Gleek moment. It's a stupid show with crappy moments. But I watch for those few shining moments and when I find them, I take them! I love musicals, so eat me, lol.

haha, I was really impressed with this week too. I had issues, but it was much better than Glee has been recently. It felt like season one, when the show was at its best.

For next year, they said they're following Kurt and Rachel to New York. They're bringing in Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson on as their mentors. So it seems like they'll be focusing a lot on those two. They claim that the show will focus equally on McKinley and NYADA. Honestly, I'd rather watch a show about them. The issue with phasing them out of the show is that the writers haven't taken much time to develop the younger characters, so audiences don't care about them as much.
