I would love to see a Chris Nolan Bond movie; tons of blatant unnecessary exposition, poorly choreographed fight sequences, and Daniel Craig's voice altered to sound like he's been smoking 8 packs a day for 15 years. What are you waiting for, Hollywood?

Inception, his latest movie, is described as very James Bond-esque. So, let's see how that turns out.

The trailers are very vague at the moment, but the movie is an espionage thriller with locations around the globe. That sounds like Bond. However, there's also the plot of people invading your dreams. So, I guess that's un-Bond but considering that Roger Moore's Bond went to outer space to fight with a laser gun that could be argued.

I'll take a Brosnan film over a Moore film any day of the week. The only Moore film I enjoy is the The Spy Who Loved Me. The others ranged from tolerable to terrible.

Is Roger Moore really that bad? I admit not all his Bond films were great but he's my favourite Bond, I think it was his humour that did it for me

His movies were more like comic books, fun yet you can't take them seriously. If I ever came across Sean Connery or Daniel Craig I might expect to get my ass whooped if I took them on. Roger Moore on the other hand....not so much.

I actually have an opinion I put in a Bond thread a long time ago comparing Connery to Dalton and Craig, and Moore to Brosnan in terms of style and their take on Bond. I'll try to track it down.

My biggest problem with Roger Moore is not Moore himself but the movies he made. If all his 7 movies were as good as The Spy Who Loved Me then I would like his era a lot more.

Actually I really like For Your Eyes Only. Not only his best film but definitely one of the best of all the Bond films IMO.

I liked it too, but I wouldn't rank it above The Spy Who Loved Me for the reasons I stated.

although The Spy Who Loved Me was my favourite Moore Bond film, but I still did enjoy Live And Let Die, Man With The Golden Gun and Octopussy .....actually I think I have enjoyed all Bond movies , I think its one film franchise that I could say I enjoyed all its films
