Race to Witch Mountain - Review Thread

Good, solid family fun. The kids will like this and there's some decent fun for adults. They are great at the beginning in building tension and the banter between the kids and The Rock is terrific. The film does lose a little steam at the end and drags itself out. Otherwise it's pretty well acted and most of the jokes don't fall flat even if it's been there, done that.

With Mall Cop being the only other family/kid friendly flick, you can't go wrong here.

There's something quite likable about The Rock, I used to despise him, but he's usually pretty fun in his movies.

Maybe him and disney and this director have this click going on right now and the rock works well. It helps the rock finally had a hit movie with Get Smart even if he the bad guy and was not a big big part.

i might rent it, just because the rock isn't that bad of an actor. And i want to see how this compares to the past ones, which i haven't seen in a good 12 years at least

Looks sorta like a kid version of the mummy- except with aliens. The Rock shouting out humorous one liners and the end of the world is near; doesn't interest me. AnnaSophia Robb is a really good child actress though, so that's a glimmer of hope.

I think Johnson is becoming a much better actor - he is pretty good in funny roles as well.

agreed on all acounts. He isn't a GREAT actor. But as far as action stars go, he is better than a lot of them. And coming from the wwe, where all acting sucks, it is a surprise for him to have decent talent.

Rock is who i will call him cause most people do instead of Dwayne Johnson. Um i wish hed do more action movies like The Rundown cause that was good. This could be better and i plan too see it at 1:00pm will let you guys know how it was later on.

lol well WWE gave Dwayne Johnson all the rights to the name "The Rock" but he later dropped it because he wanted to be known as Dwayne the actor not Dwayne "The Rock" the Wrestler.

i saw the movie the day it opend, and i loved it. it was a great movie, fan and entertaining, i thought it was a tad-bit better than Watchmen, Rock makes great films

I saw it today. it was really good. it more action packed then the older moives.
