The real charm of 'Garden State' is watching Zach Braff's character transform from a drugged up, lethargic zombie into an emoting, living, loving human being.
03/05/09 - American Beauty (9.5/10) - One of the best movies ever made.
03/07/09 - Silence of the Lambs (8.5/10) - Remains relevant as a nerve-shattering, intense thriller, and will forever remain one of the best-made horror movies of all-time.
03/13/09 - Milk (7.5/10) - Though the pacing is sometimes slow, 'Milk' is a very touching, eye-opening event that I believe everyone needs to watch - especially in today's day and age. Emile Hirsch, Josh Brolin and Sean Penn deliver spectacular performances.
03/15/09 - Role Models (7.0/10) - A genuinely funny comedy with a great cast.
03/20/09 - Mystic River (8.5/10) - The pacing can be a bit slow at times, but you'll be far too interested and entertained by the mystery to even notice. A very moody, suspenseful piece that is hands-down Eastwood's best work. Probably Penn's, too.
03/21/09 - Twilight (7.0/10) - Let me begin by pointing out I've never read the books. 'Twilight' is a moody, atmospheric piece with two strong leads holding it all together. It's a very campy movie, but an entertaining two hours nonetheless.
03/30/09 - Rachel Getting Married (7.5/10) - A dark family drama that feels authentic and honest in all aspects. Some scenes go on far too long and it felt like there was a lot of dead footage included in the final cut.
