Pirates 2 and 3 are really bad films. Hopefully the 4th entry can turn the franchise around...

Interesting casting choices thus far, although I would've never thought of McShane. I'm still optimistic about this film, it's sounding awesome thus far.

I liked DMC but AWE was awful. I hope they break the downward spiral of the series with this one.

Well the low parts in AWE was when they had to cut to what Elizabeth and Wills story was away from Jack and Barbossa. They made Will and Liz first and Jack second and in Pirates 1 we know Jack was the main person but they goofed and made it a soap opera out of Awe and some of DMC

Actually, Will and Elizabeth were always the center of the trilogy. Jack just fit into the equation afterwards.

Asked how different this film will be, he said "we're going to take a whole new direction," but he did mention that "it is a continuation of what you saw last time, he's in search for the Fountain of Youth."

The Rob Marshall-directed film is scheduled to start filming in June for a May 20, 2011 release.

There was no doubt for Rush is as big a Pirates success reason as Jack. But i do hope the old crew comes back. For can't have a pirates movies without Gibbs telling some type pf tale in it about someone.

I think the relationship between Liz and Sparrow would have been way more entertaining then what we in the previous films.

Liz is not for Jack for she is too ruthless and cause trouble wherever she goes.

I was thinking we should restart the trilogy forums again for With new Spider-Man and Pirates Of The Caribbean and even Star Trek and HP.

It was easier for me with the old format then one forum for all movies.

I miss the seperate forums as much as the next guy, but there isn't enough activity here for that. This place has been pretty dead since like 2006 or 2007.

I was wondering if anyone here heard that Penelope Cruz has arrived at the LAX airport???, and is officially getting ready to star in Pirates 4, as Blackbeards daugter named "Angelica", has anyone heard about this yet???. Also, Pirates 4 starts filming on June 14th, 2010, which is in about 11 days from now!. I bet we're gonna all end up seeing a teaser trailer for Pirates 4 in december 2010, because they'll be finished with filming Pirates 4 by november 18th, 2010. Originally they were gonna be filming Pirates 4 from June 7th, to november 11 this year, but now it's going to be filming from June 14th, to November 18th, 2010 !!!!!. Did anyone here about that yet???.

I think there there will be a Teaser Trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides on the internet and in theaters, on the same day that the other disney movie arrives to theaters called Tron Legacy!!!. It'll probably be showing in the theaters that Tron Legacy will be showing in, right before each showing of Tron Legacy in each of the theaters showing both the teaser trailer for Pirates 4 and the Tron Legacy movie together, and of course, they would show the Pirates 4 teaser trailer before, they show the Tron Legacy movie in each theater showing both of them together, in the order of it being the trailer being shown first, and then the movie next right after that!. I bet that, thats whats gonna happen when Tron Legacy comes out on December 17th, 2010 Friday!!!!!. That day could'nt come here soon enough!, I Can't Wait!!!!!=).

I've heard lots of rumors that the OST teaser will play before Tron. What an awesome Christmas present that will be for us POTC geeks! Also, thanks for the info about Penelope at LAX: I hadn't heard that, but knowing she's on her way to start shooting just makes me more and more excited.
