ah Master Chief, once again wrongfully assuming and blowing words far out of proportion
if you took my words as trash talking, that's all well and good, just proof that I was correct regarding your reading comprehension

Another interpretation of Bane, from Vengeance of Bane, again proves my point. The lucha mask and the giant Bane is just an interpretation. This is what Bane looks like, WITHOUT venom.
![]() So, again, as I state, the interpretation of the character does not have to be defined to just one state. That's the point I'm trying to make here. The way the character acts, the demeanor is intimidating. Just because he's not what Bane is listed as (6'8, 350 on Venom) does not mean he can't do damage, or be an intimidating physical opponent. Not to mention, where the HELL can you find a human being that big?

Yeah, but the Bane in that panel looks like he could give Batman the beating of his life. Tom Hardy doesn't.

Tom Hardys Bane looks pretty damn intimidating to me, seems to me though this is similar to the whole "Perma-White" debate prior to TDK, Ledgers Joker was so brilliant it made you pretty much not care if it was face paint, it was that damn good. Lets see what happens with Hardys Bane, it might be so good that his size isn't gonna even be a factor or anything you really notice.

I like how you say that this image proves your point, when you're also inadvertently proving ours.
We're not saying he needs to be grotesquely huge, like in most of the comics. Believe it or not, we are still taking into account that this is Nolan's universe. The image you just posted is not an outrageous looking muscular man. However, that interpretation of Bane is far more impressive than what Hardy looks like, as if he could actually do some physical damage to Batman. If that's what Hardy looked like, we wouldn't even be having this discussion right now. Thank you for posting that image, though. It's a good example of what we've been trying to say. Hardy could have bulked up more, and the physique in the image you just posted would have been far more impressive and menacing. _________________ And of course I feel like I have to put a footnote in here every time. None of us are saying that Bane won't turn out good in this movie as a result of his size. It's just an observation. The character of Bane is suppose to look physically imposing to Batman, and as of what we've seen so far of Bane/Hardy, he doesn't. It will be interesting to see the final interpretation of the character in Nolan's universe, and how he manages to pull him off.

Maybe Miranda Tate isn't a villain after all. At least not in the traditional sense.

I did the math over the past few weeks and it seems my ideas of Bane were pretty dead on, not that it was terribly difficult given the actors, characters, etc.

I have no major problems with the movies.
I only wish that there would have been another movie in between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight making this a quadrilogy. The Dark Knight was a little too soon to go so big, in my opinion, considering that it just started in the previous chapter. Hell, maybe Bale could put on a bit of weight and pull it off now after the finale.

David Goyer revealed to Empire Magazine that Warner Bros wanted Riddler for Dark Knight Rises. Now we know where all those Riddler rumors came from. It was the studio's #1 choice. But Nolan, for whatever reason, wasn't interested.

due to him feeling that Riddler is just Joker2.0
I would've prefered him but it does seem Nolan has a good story to tell in using Bane (Dark Night Returns + Knightfall/Nightquest)

Not only The Riddler, but Leo DiCaprio as The Riddler.

The advance tickets went on sale today, they were gone within minutes, so much so that the entire site crashed. Apparently, multiple reports are saying this is a sign of 'things to come'. We'll see.

When is this new TDKR Mountain Dew supposed to come out? I thought it was this past Friday, I looked for it last night while I was at the grocery store and didn't see it.

June 20th. I'm not sure why they did not just release it with the rest of the crap but oh well. Definitely going to be buying me some Mountain Dew stockpiles.

Apparently there is a new TDKR trailer on the way? International trailer maybe?

Ok, just saw it. Maybe a minute in length at most. A couple of new shots from what I could gather but nothing major, maybe one new line. Saw the batwing in storage, which I didn't recognise; and Bruce says something like "get me back in the game". Everything else was recycled.

Soundtrack listing is out, and I'll spoiler tag them in case some people see them as too revealing:
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
The score is apparently 51:20 in length. I hope track 7 is the music in the opening sequence; that bit was awesome. Can't wait!
