Britney Spears, man. She's the only reason they renewed it.

She brings in millions more viewers, and wants to be a recurring character. Hence a third season.

that show has been doing well all along. and britney spears? i doubt she made the ratings go up. her part was very small and hardly talked about in the press

Yeah, but people would be curious to see how she did. How big a role she had wouldn't have mattered. In that light, it does make sense that her particular episodes would have increased the ratings somewhat.

No it hasn't. Before Britney Spears was announced as a guest star, it was getting only around 8.5 million viewers. Then the first Britney episode got 10.6 million. The second Britney Spears episode got 9+ million, way more viewers than the episode prior to it.

The show is ranked at No. 74. That's pretty bad for CBS.

I am just pissed they didn't renew Moonlight. I am thinking of banning CBS completely and I normally watch Big Brother, Amazing Race, HIMYM, and 2 & 1/2 men. But geez they are stupid to keep ghost whisper and not Moonlight. Also canceling Jericho again. I hate CBS...

I agree, I mean I was already pee'd off about Jericho being dangled (in a mismanaged way) in front of the fans and then dropped again without an iota of care. My daughter especially loves Moonlight and it broke her heart to see it get canceled. This in spite the fact that they have way too many CSI's going on and Numb3rs, Cold Case, and Criminal Minds. That is just too many damn cop/crime solving shows on one channel. I once thought (a while ago) that CBS caters to a much older dynamic, and then with shows like How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, Jericho, and Moonlight I thought they were changing that. Well I guess I was wrong.

To add insult to injury, they so call develop a Psych wannabe and name it The Mentalist.

It goes to show, just because you have an MBA and have a history of running multi-billion dollar businesses does not mean that you know or understand to know how to run programming for the masses of people that watch television. Nina Tessler can bite me!

There are two reasons why Ghost Whisperer got renewed (early):

1) It does well in its timeslot. It's a Top 50 series, with a 9.3 million average.

2) It's cheap. ABC Studios pays for half the budget, in-return for exclusive DVD and syndication rights.

Each of the CSI Season Finales were very good this season what with the tragic shooting of Warrick and what's gonna happen going into Season 7 of Miami. Is Ryan really bad or not? As for NY (which has now become my favourite of the 3) we've got a helluva cliffhanger on our hands.

Amazing how Vegas continues to soldier on. I thought it would have ended by now but nope on it continues. Surely it must be coming close to wrapping up now that two of the main characters are gone.

I actually like NY as far as CSI goes. I didnt like the premise for Moon light..Ok yes I did,it made me nearly wet myself But at least it was original
I likeBBT I think Im alone in this. I had wanted to watch the reruns over the summer but they put some other crap in its place. i thought of Whatching BB and then the second half of Bones. Ive seen HIMYM enough times to know it leaves a sour taste in my mouth
Thats just me though. I never really liked Spears anyway. I wouldnt wish the downward spiral shes had on anyone but its like meh either way

But what is This Bill Evengall they have in BB time slot now?
