Fox Searchlight will release Day Watch (Dnevnoi Dozor) on June 1 and ComingSoon.net has a first look at 5 poster designs for the movie. You can vote for which one is your favorite by using the poll above and the winner may end up being the final poster for the film. You can also give feedback on the posters by posting comments below!
Featuring the cinematic vision of cutting-edge director/writer Timur Bekmambetov, Day Watch (Dnevnoi Dozor) is the second installment of a trilogy based on the best-selling sci-fi novels of Sergei Lukyanenko entitled "Night Watch," "Day Watch" and "Dusk Watch." A dazzling mix of state-of-the-art visual effects, amazing action sequences, and nail-biting horror, when Night Watch (Nochnoi Dozor) was released in its native Russia in July 2004, it became an instant smash hit breaking all film gross records in post-Soviet history. Set in contemporary Moscow, Day Watch (Dnevnoi Dozor) revolves around the conflict and balance maintained between the forces of light and darkness -- the result of a medieval truce between the opposing sides. Visit the film's official website for more info and you can watch the new trailer in High Definition QuickTime here! POSTER 1

Did anyone notice that different posters have different directors for the movie?

Definitely the first one, it at least has a connection to the first film with the vortex.

The ideal poster would be number one, with the "ghost" knights from poster two on either side of the figure, very faint.
I loved the first movie and cannot wait for the second one -- however, I liked the Russian Edit of the film a little better--it was a bit wierder with more Russian flourishes, like the first attempt to "calm" the witch by sending in their great lover, who cannot do his job and seduce the witch since he is getting married the next day! |

Night Watch probably has the coolest subtitles I have seen in any movie, aswell. Just throwing that out there
