It can be entertaining...I don't watch it regularly (I'm more of a boxing guy), but whenever it's on, I tend to tune in. Good stuff.

I'm definitely into these modern-day gladiators going at it. UFC has definitely been making a strong push to leave Pride FC in the dust. Obtaining Mirko Cro Cop and Quentin 'Rampage' Jackson was huge. Now, they got Wanderlei Silva set to fight the Iceman Chuck Liddell. THAT will be something to see.

And how and 'the Natural' Randy Couture completely picking apart ex-champ Tim Sylvia last weekend?! That was nuts! Of course, with all due respect to Couture, the heavyweight division is kinda weak in UFC. NOBODY could take Fedor Emelianenko of PRIDE. THat guy is a machine, I swear.

As far as middle weight goes Anderson Silva is the cream of that crop. And I'm a big GSP fan as far as welterweights go. I think his rematch with Huges should be exciting.

I'm really interested in Mir... I mean, this guy was one of the best a few years ago... but then he was stupid, and almost ruined his career by screwing around on his motorcycle and breaking himself...... today, he's a shadow of hs former self... he's put on some serious wieght too.... I really want to see a comeback from him... but he's got to embrasse that's cardio is a big part now.....

It seems like a lot of athletes have a problem wrecking bikes. I gues money doesn't buy common sense.

To be honest, I don't think there's any cometition in the UFC heavyweights. Now that Cro Cop is there, he is probably going to take the belt and hold on to it for AWHILE.

I'm looking forward to TUF 5. The last one sucked.

I'll watch me some UFC when it's on. As far as the thread title though...dude...you would be hard pressed to find someone who would be surprised wrestling is fake. For me, thats kind of the point. It's a different kind of entertainment. I love Boxing, and UFC and all that stuff too, but wrestling is unique because it's story based......I mean NOTHING beats a straight up real fight....but Wrestling was never really about that.

Anyways...I'm looking forward to seeing Brock debut in MMA also.....I was hoping Kurt Angle would fight too, but it sounds like it's 50/50 right now...

Where did you get that Wandy's gonna be fighting Chuck now? It's very doubtful. Since Henderson knocked out Wandy last month, plus having been knocked out by CroCop in his last match before that, no one really gives a crap about that fight anymore. It hasn't even been discussed lately. The UFC (or more accurately it's owners) just bought Pride, so a lot of those cross-promotional fights will be happening now, but that one's on the back burner.

As for the UFC's heavyweight division, it isn't as weak as everyone makes it out to be. CroCop, Arlovski, Sylvia, Couture, Brandon Vera, and now Werdum, all those guys are up there on the list. "No one can take Fedor", sure, at least no one in Pride. Big Nog is the only other legit heavyweight Pride has right now, and Fedor's already beat him three times. The first man to beat Fedor will be CroCop. Yes, I saw their first fight and Mirko wasn't up to form, I think the rematch will go entirely differently, and I think it will happen pretty soon. But first we get to see Mirko lhk Randy Couture back into retirement and take the UFC belt.

Anderson Silva isn't the cream of the middleweight crop, either. Dan Henderson would take that fight, and quite easily at that. For that matter, when Rich Franklin fights Anderson again I think it's gonna be anybody's fight, 'cuz Rich won't come in with a stupid-ass game plan like he did last time. "I thought the clinch was gonna be my sweet spot." He shoulda known better.

Mir was never all that good to begin with. He got the belt with one big win, over Tim Sylvia, and that was only because Tim was dumb enough to jump into his guard, expose his arm, and have Mir break it not even two minutes into the first round. I guarantee you that if Tim had backed off and not done that, he would have won that fight. Other than that, Mir hasn't beat anybody of note, no one. Just 'cuz he had the belt doesn't mean he was ever good in the first place.

The Rampage / Liddell rematch is interesting, but it's gonna end with Rampage laying on the matt unconscious. Chuck is undefeated since that fight, and has walked through all of his opponents, whereas Jackson's career has steadily been going downhill since then. His fight against Matt Lindland was one of the worst decisions I've seen, Lindland won that fight and it should have gone on Rampage's loss column. Even against Eastman in February, Jackson didn't look very good. Chuck's gonna clean his clock.

And Brock Lesnar coming to MMA is a joke. That guy's gonna get hurt. Probably not right away, as I'm sure they'll throw him a few tomato cans to build him up before giving him a real fight, but he thinks he can train with Royce Gracie for a while and compete with these guys who spend years devoting their lives to Mixed Martial Arts. He'll learn soon enough.

I've been watching UFC on Bravo for years. It's such a technical sport and I've the highest respect for these guys. Brilliant!

UFC is amazing.
I love it and is some of the best stuff on TV.

TUF 5 starts tonight, too.

Yep. I sincerely hope Jens whoops the hell out of Penn when the finale comes up. Far as this episode, what was that lobster salesman even doing there? A 2-1 record? Why does a guy like that even deserve a shot on this show? And boy, that Ruediger guy is a big ol' crybaby. I hope he gets beat in his first fight.

Ender, Chuck lost to Couture last not Jackson. But other than that very much on point. Personally I'd like to see Chuck fight Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. I think their styles would make for a very exiciting fast paced fight.

No, his last loss was to Jackson. In Pride, in the 2003 Grand Prix. He's fought Couture since then, but won both times. Of the 3 people he's lost to, Rampage is the only loss left unavenged, as he beat Couture and Jeremy Horn after they beat him. As far as Shogun, it would be an interesting fight but I'd predict Chuck pulling out the W. Rua has never been the most technical striker, he's great with knees and great in a clinch, but I think in trying to get inside Chuck's range he'd leave himself open and get tagged. To be honest, I don't see many 205-ers beating Chuck right now. Any, in fact. That's why all this talk of Chuck moving up to heavyweight if he beats Jackson has me excited. Chuck / CroCop would be a hell of a fight. Chuck's never been knocked out, but Mirko would be the guy to do it.

Anybody see the BodogFight pay-per-view tonight? Fedor took on Matt Lindland in the main event. I was a bit disappointed, I expected more of a fight out of Lindland. I knew he'd probably lose, but I didn't think it would be less than three minutes into the first round. The rest of the fights on the card were pretty good too, Aleks TKO'ing Pele was pretty sweet and that Nick Thompson fight was friggin stellar.

I'm really looking forward to UFC 70 next weekend, free on Spike TV. CroCop is gonna win by decapitation, having him fight Gonzaga is a joke and it won't leave the first round. Machida / Heath and Bisping / Sinosic are pretty much one-sided fights, too, but the one I'm most looking forward to is Andrei Arlovski against Fabricio Werdum. Most people don't know Werdum very well, but that guy is no joke. He went three hard rounds with Big Noguiera and submitted Aleks Emelianenko, Fedor's brother. He's also beat Gonzaga. Everyone knows Arlovski is a beast and will expect him to just walk through Werdum, but that ain't happening. It'll be a damn good fight. I still expect to see Andrei get the win, though.

After further review, you are correct. Don't know how I got that mixed up. Anyway, UFC 70 should be pretty good. Glad I get to skip paying for one.

Um...not so much. I guess you were right for the most part, just had the fighters backwards.

Wow......nobody saw that coming......!!!

That kick about removed CroCop's head from his shoulders......!!!

Man, that was heartbreaking to watch, as a huge CroCop fan. It was a stupid fight, make no mistake, just like having Matt Serra fight St. Pierre was stupid. You put GSP and Serra in there 10 times, and GSP wins 9. Same thing with CroCop / Gonzaga. I think Mirko got a little too confident, sorta like when he got KO'd by Kevin Randleman a few years back. In a way it's good, because his next opponent is gonna see the fire that's been lacking in his last couple fights. Still, that was one hellacious finish by Gonzaga, great friggin job. You could see Mirko going to block a body shot when Gabriel started kicking, 'cuz honestly, who the hell ever thought that guy would be throwing head-kicks?

Even though I'm thoroughly disappointed, there's an upside to it in that Randy gets to defend against Gonzaga now. And despite Couture's insistence to the contrary, he would lose against Mirko. Gonzaga's a better match for him. So at least Captain America gets to successfully defend his belt. Well, hopefully, but who knows, Gonzaga might pull another hat trick and take it from him. This year is shaping up to be the year of the upset, I'm gonna stop thinking of anything as a "sure thing". GSP / Serra, Diaz / Gomi, Couture / Sylvia, Wanderlei / Henderson, and now this. Nearly every high-profile fight so far this year has been an underdog winning.

I still say Chuck's gonna put Rampage out, though.

It is too bad that Chuck "the Eyes Man" has to fight Rampage....who previously knocked the **** out of him......Ol chuck is prolly gonna have to eye poke his way out of this one..........Chuck fans are just ignorant to the fact that the only way chuck can win is to throw his thumbs into other fighters eyes.....go back and watch ever punch he throws...his thumbs are so far out. My pick Rampage wins in round two by ko
