That leaves just Darth Maul, halo, and Dracula, all which should be up soon.

I watched Zodiac again, I understood it all this time. Great movie.

Bottle Rocket

Bottle Rocket starts as Anthony Adams( Luke Wilson) is being released from an asylum for "exhaustion". Anthony meets up with his friends Dignan, an enthusiastic wannabe criminal( played by co-writer Owen Wilson), and rich, but depressed Bob Mapplethorpe( Robert Musgrave). Their first big robbery is at a bookstore, which is very funny because Dignan politely robs the store( "Uh, do you have any bigger bags for atlas's and dictionaries, uh, sir?"). This leads to the three hiding out at a hotel where Anthony falls in love with a maid( Lumi Cavazos), who can't speak English. Now I'm going to say why Bottle Rocket is a great film: It's original, funny( especially in the scenes involving Kumar Pallana as a senile safe cracker), and with great performances by Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, and another Wilson brother, Andrew, as Bob's bullying big brother. James Caan also gives a very good small performance. Wes Anderson shows his aptitude as a director in several ways such as in the acting, the flow of the movie, writing, techniques etc. Wes develops a lot of his trademarks here. Fueled by an awesome score by Mark Mothersbaugh and an unforgettable soundtrack with such musicians as The Rolling Stones, Love, and The Proclaimers.. Definitely check this flick out

Man on the Moon

Andy Kaufman is often misidentified as a standup comic, in reality he was working more of a performance artist. Kaufman would play elaborate jokes on his audience and never tell them he was kidding; he didn’t care how much people liked him or how many people thought he was funny. He knew he was funny and that’s all that mattered to him. Luckily there were a few other people around that understood him, as such he managed to become a cult sensation.

Man on the Moon is a biopic about Andy Kaufman, and it manages to allow the audience to see Kaufman’s humor from the perspective of the one person who most appreciated his comedy, his own. The viewer is allowed to witness Kaufman’s crazy practical jokes and laugh with him. It’s easy to see how Sasha Baron Cohen was influenced by this fascinating figure.

Kaufman is not an easy subject for biography. The people around him could never quite gauge when he was being serious and when he was pulling one of his elaborate jokes. Director Milos Foreman managed to perfectly depict this in the movie. The movie celebrates this comic genius, but isn’t afraid to show the downsides of leading this kind of life. The film has a certain “meta” quality. Kaufman’s real personality is never pinned down, and the viewer is never quite sure when he’s sincere and when he’s screwing with people.

Jim Carry perfectly portrays Kaufman here, his impression is dead on and his scene by scene acting never misses a beat. This is biopic acting on par with Jamie Foxxes portrayal of Ray Charles. The rest of the cast is great as well, particularly Paul Giamatti as Kaufman’s friend and partner in crime Bob Zmuda as well as Danny DeVito as Kaufman’s manager George Shapiro.

Man on the Mood is one of the best bio-pics I’ve seen. It brings a little known yet well respected figure to life. It has that cool REM song too.

Just wondering, is this next round going to be an IMDB Top 250 deal again or any other kind of special thing?

Nope, next round is Round 19, Round 20 will be IMDB round.

Though I'm wondering if anyone would want to try "Obvious Round" where we list 8-10 common movies to find one the person "should" have seen by now.

That sounds like a fun idea. I mean hell, I have met people (in fact sit next to one in Internet class) who has yet to see any of the Star Wars film. Needless to say, my jaw dropped. Personally, I love these topic rounds and maybe we could do them every other round or so.

Yeah, that sounds good. I like it when we throw a little twist in every now and then.

I'm not sure I get this, do you want to put together a list of ten films we all choose from? What if I've seen all of these "obvious" choices?

IMDB round? Does that mean we have to pick a film from the top 250 films on IMDB? Just curious. I know we're not there yet, but I was just wondering.

No no, it works the same way as normal rounds, we just list 8-10 instead of 4. Also, the movies are common...it may not work so well for you. I don't think I'm going to do it anyway. If peopel are feeling lucky then they can add in a common movie or two and make a list with 5 or even 6 if they want.

When it comes, I'll post the rules like usual, but the main difference is your partner chooses from a list YOU make based on the 4 or 5 top movies from the IMDB Top 250 list that you've never seen....actually, that's pretty much the whole thing there.

There should be a round where we have to make a list from IMDB's Bottom 100 list. LOL.
