I read somewhere that they were originally gonna dump his character after the whole Green Candle thing. They were even considering killing him like his Sentai counterpart. But, the character became SO POPULAR that Saban/Fox Kids were forced to keep the character. I am not complaining because Tommy is my favorite character as well. But I think they should have kept him as the Green Ranger instead of turning him into the White Ranger. He had some cool moments as the White Ranger and it was even cool to see him as the leader, but as the Green Ranger he was a major badass.

lol I know, I just like saying it to see people's reactions, didn't really get much this time though. Anyway, I've seen her recently on TV, was a preview for a TV movie, don't really know much more than that.

lol. Bulk and Skull were great. I loved how they went from hooligans to police officers. Who saw that coming? But I will admit that there was no purpose for their character. They were just the comic relief, but who the hell watched Power Rangers for the comic relief? But with that being said its funny how they lasted longer than all the original power rangers. The original cast was gone by Power Rangers In Space and they were still around. lol.

In addition, lets not forget about Ernie!

You guys wanna see the original pilot? Here it is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OKqoqz785g
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnKme58lTcU

You'll notice another attractive young lady playing Trini. You'll also notice Zordan and Alpha 5 look completely different. AND, you'll notice that Bulk looks messed up.

My opinion: I agree with the changes Fox Kids mostly likely demanded. For one thing the Youth Center with Ernie was a better location than a freakin' bowling alley. Also, that fight scene was kind of brutal. In future episodes the Power Rangers deal with bullies by scaring them. Here they just woop their ass. I don't know if I like this or not. lol. Everything else is pretty much the same as the second pilot, so its okay.

ABC Family does a better job of airing these episodes. Toon Disney skips a lot of episode. Like a month ago they began airing Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and they are already by Turbo. MMPR has like 150 episodes and Zeo has 40-something. So, for them to go from MMPR to Turbo in about a month can tell you how many episodes they skipped.

Yes. . .saba. . .but it didn't talk much because they couldn't use too much stock footage. Since MMPR ran three seasons (unlike the other shows that only lasted one) they ended up using stock footage from like three or four Sentai shows. So, the White Rangers was from a different show but since in the American version it's still the same show they had to start shooting more of their own stuff. Which is why seasons 2 and 3 aren't as stock footage heavy as season 1. And, which is why Saba didn't talk as much as he did in the Sentai show.

MMPR was GREAT!!!!! I miss that show. I met Austin St. John (Jason). Amy Jo Johnson is on the ABC Family show "Wildfire". Jason David Frank (Tommy) has a martial arts school in California and does some acting still. I don't know where the other are....I know Adam sings in a band and does Anime voices or something.

She did have a sex scene in one of her films, where you see her cross-section. It was on YouTube.

Yeah I've seen it. She has a pretty nice body. You can probably see it at Mr. Skin or something like that.

I loved Power Rangers as a kid. I haven't seen any of the first ones in years.

Like many have said above, you can check them out on Toon Disney and ABC Family.

Speaking of that. . .I was checking the schedule and it seems Toon Disney will begin airing Power Rangers In Space episodes on Monday. I never saw that because I stopped watching during Turbo and only I've seen after that is Dino Thunder. But, a lot of people say In Space is the best. Is that true or no?

The Power Rangers (American version of the 90s) were, to my eyes, the biggest heroes of the 90s decade.
The 90s is not my decade (I was in my 20s then, my decade is the 80s) but I was a huge fan!!!!!

Oh, I just read that the actress who played Rita in Season One (well, she was dubbed over, but the video part anyway) just died last week at the age of 68.

She made her debut on NHK’s radio drama Chorinmura to Kurumi no Ki (1961), and later gained fame as the first voice actor to portray the loveable ghost Q-taro in Obake no Q-tarō (TBS, 1965-1968). However, she is best known to fans of tokusatsu for her villianous roles in the Super Sentai franchise such as Queen Hedrian in Denjiman and Sun Vulcan, as well as the evil sorceress, Bandora in Zyuranger (Footage of her was used for the american series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). Her latest tokusatsu role was Majiel, Queen of the Sky Saints in Mahou Sentai Magiranger, which incidently is her first non-villianess role. She also has her own jewelry and clothing line. Around June last year it was announced that she had a terminal physical condition.
She might appear in the current season Mystic Force because the season is a translation of the above said "Mahou Sentai Magiranger", and her character makes an important appearance in the Japanese show.

It would be brilliant if the producers left her in the US translation, instead of cutting her out, as it's like a homage to her greatness.
