Larry the Cable Guy - Health Inspector Review

I think it's kinda pointless to write a review in the other Larry the Cable Guy bashing thread, so I'm starting a new thread simply for the sake of a review.

I just went to see it. I like Larry the Cable Guy and this movie was his typical self and funny one-liners. The plot and storyline was absolute garbage, but it was still funny listening to Larry do his routines. There was a lot of laughs out of the crowd that was there, but I think the general consensus was that the movie as a movie sucked hard, but he still had some funny jokes.

Overall I give it a
5/10

The five was for the jokes, but zero for the movie plot and storyline.

Hehe. This film is #1 on the bottom #100 list over at IMDB at the moment with a ranking of 1.4 with 783 votes. I doubt it will stay at #1 but its funny to see it go right there.

In all honesty, it was a bad film, but who wasn't expecting it to be? The only reason I saw it was because I like Larry and Stay Alive looked too stupid to even bother with. The jokes were funny as usual, but man, even I could have written a better script. It was awful as was the acting. Sad to see Thomas Wilson (aka Biff) in this type of movie, but work is work I guess.

Not sure if that's a joke or not, so I'll pretend that some people really don't know the answer to this one.

He has always called himself Larry the Cable Guy, but in this movie he plays a health inspector. If you see him on Blue Collar TV he is known as "Larry the Cable Guy". I have no idea why.

Its because his gimmick used to be where he would pretend to be a redneck cable installer, with a spool of coax cable, and tool belt. I guess he got tired of lugging the props around.

I just saw a clip of this film off Box Office America. I honestly don't know what to say. I just might go see it for a laugh. It'll be something I'll probably see if there's nothing else to watch.

FVD, there are a million better options in the theatre right now (even if there isn't a million movies playing right now) over this. Ever consider V for Vendetta or Inside Man? I think you'd enjoy both.
