Default Treble and Bass settings on TV

I'm trying to figure out the best Bass and Treble (not the game characters)settings for my TV. I have them at Treble-50% Bass-70%

That sounds fine...or both at 50%. Maybe have the treble higher.

Of course, it all depends on your personal tastes. My wife always turns the bass up all the way on our car stereo ... have had to get new speakers twice in the past year ... and it is a great wake up call on a cold morning when I crank the ignition and the windows start rattling. I'm more of a 50/50 bass/treble guy myself.

Same here, and I guess its because I mainly listen to rock or metal. No need for much bass on that stuff. One of my friends has this crazy sound system in his car and he turns the bass up all the way on rock and metal and it drives me nuts. Its really pointless and I try to tell him that, but he still thinks that it sounds cool. I'm like, "But you can't even hear the vocals or guitars!"

Yeah, but the argument still applies, especially for stereo televisions ...

I ususally turn the base up just enough so that there is a strong full sound - then the trebel up enough to wake up the highlights.
