He was good when hosting the Emmy's. I doubt the Academy Awards will ask him though, atleast not until he's hosting the Tonight Show. I'm counting the days till that happens. Retire already, Leno! You've outlived your stay!

I'm afraid that the "upscale" audience at the Academy would be "too good" to laugh at Conan. Remember when Letterman did the Academy? I mean, granted, he wasn't funny, but still...those audiences can be brutal.

That being said, Conan would be my #1 pick to host the Academy any day. I'd LOVE to see him do it. And personally, I'd like to see it BEFORE he goes to the Tonight Show. Before he's been corrupted by the 11:30 timeslot.

The best part was later when Steve Schirripa came on and said if he and Lara were walking down the street they would be a "10" and to ease the tension Conan said if he'd join them he would be the exclamation point!

OMG! He made Lara Flynn Boyle cry (though it really wasn't his fault)!! I've never seen a guest embarassed to tears on a talk show, certainly not on Conan. And he kept his cool!

Conan is the man. He always has people from Arrested Development on the show, which I love, and he always has The Big Show on, and they're always funny together. I remember when they were saying they could have their own show together. I would definitely watch that show!

And of course who could forget Will Ferrell (sp?) I think they are hilarious together also. I'd love to see Will Ferrell, The Big Show, and someone from Arrested on the show together, that would be a really great show.

I can't wait until he takes over for Jay Leno.

Did anyone see Conan tonight? His ability to make brilliant interviews with Harrison Ford are the greatest example of his skills as a host.

Did anyone catch Conan bugging Harrison Ford about the Star Wars Holiday Special?? He even had a clip (how in God's name did they get the rights to that?) That was PRICELESS!!
