Miss 90s Slasher Flicks? They're Back!

Being an insanely huge fan of cheesy 90s teen slashers like Scream, Urban Legends, I Know What You Did Last Summer etc. I was estatic to read that I'll Always Know What You Did That Summer is on the way, and Scream 4 is in talks. They're probably going to be very bad, but is there anyone else out there damn excited for this? Those were REAL slasher movies, unlike the cut-camera edited censored PG13 crap studios have been feeding us lately. I for one pray to God Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courtney Cox return for Scream 4 and that Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Junior come back for I'll Always Know. I am against sequels, and hate everything about them, but this is an acception.. Assuming they don't shed their 18A ratings for PG :|

What exactly does "on the way" mean? Is this just rumors and talks, or is it actually confirmed? 'Cuz if it is, I'm with you. Despite the rampant suckage of I Still Know, I'm still excited about another one. The movies you're talking about were fun and sort of events in themselves, and while a lot of 'em sucked (Valentine, Urban Legend, et cetera) they were still great in a way (cheesy, like you said). As for Scream 4, however, I'm honestly praying that it never gets made. That's the flagship franchise of that whole era, and they should just leave it where it's at.

'I'll Always Know What You Did That Summer' is 100% confirmed and they've already casted the role of "the fisherman", and apparently Jennifer Love Hewitt will return when she's wrapped up filming the first season of 'Ghost Whisperer'. 'Scream 4' is on the way as well, it's just unknown as to when. Neve Campbell and Wes Craven have both said that they'd do it, and they "had lunch over it". I'm glad about this.

"The role of the fisherman" had damn well better be played by Muse Watson. That dude was cool as hell in the first one. The second one his scenes were kind of ruined by the fact that they overdubbed his dialogue, and it was painfully obvious. It threw the whole thing out of wack. But dude's scary-lookin' enough all on his own, he better be back, by gum!
