Sorry if this thread has been posted before. I didn't see any threads about this so I thought I'd start one. After seeing the movie Red Eye I kept thinking throughout the movie that Cillian Murphy would make a good Bond villan. I think he could easily do the part. Who else would make a good Bond villan?

Cillian Murphy isn't old enough, I like when the villians are smart and middle-aged.
Irons would be alright.

I always thought it was a shame that Jack Nicholson has never been a bond villan.

I remember that Ben Kingsley said he wanted to be a Bond villian. I know that Blofeld supposedly died when he was dropped from the helicopter in "For Your Eyes Only". But if the studio were somehow able to bring that character back, I think Kingsley would be a great choice.

It would be pretty wicked if there was a Bond movie where James Bond has to deal with several renegade MI6 Agents (think Alec Trevalyn, only MORE) who are played by... Drum Roll... Timothy Dalton, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, and led by none other than Sean Connery!
And then, assuming the rogue agents are defeated, have Sean Connery survive and be 'ressurected' in the Bond franchise, reimagined as a sort of modern day 'Blofield' for a modern audience, giving us a mainstay villain! Just think of it! Sean Connery! Finally another Bond villain that we can BELIEVE will give James Bond a run for his martini! Other random villain ideas: Christopher Walken (I know he's already been in one, but he deserves better!) Geoffrey Rushe (Just think of his cool-evil persona in House on Haunted Hill!) Harrison Ford (This guy almost never plays bad guys! It would be so cool!) Yep, I sure love to cast against type. Last edited by Alexander JL; 09-04-2005 at 09:38 AM. |

Ben Kingsley would do a great job as a villan I have to agree. I also think Samuel L. Jackson could make an interesting badguy.

Lawrence Fishburne or Val Kilmer. Would be nice to see a US bad-guy for once, maybe someone cast agaist type like George Clooney.

I've always thought Tommy Lee Jones would make a most excellent Bond villian. Not in the over-the-top crazy way he showed in Under Siege or Batman, but in his usual, quiet, scary-looking self.
Or, and I've said this before, James Marsters (Spike from Buffy). |
