Doesn't anyone else consider this film to be very underrated? It is one of my favorites. What do you guys think of it?

I saw the first one a while back on tv, thought it was pretty fun. Then again I was like 11, but I remember the action being pretty cool. I'm gonna have to netflix that sometime.

I loved this flick as a kid. Liam Neeson has sure come a long way.

I never botherd with the sequels.

Universal needs to make a SE DVD. And, yeah the action scenes were cool. I always loved it when Darkman was hanging from the helipcoter and Durant is shooting at him with a Grande Lancher.

I love this movie. I saw it in the theatres back in 1990(?) and thought it was just great. The two sequels (with Arnold Vosloo) are pretty decent. I wish Raimi would make another one. For anyone who is interested back in the early '90's there was a series of original "Darkman" novels published. All of them were written by Randall Boyll, here are the titles:
1. Darkman (movie novel)
2.The Hangman
3.The Price Of Fear
4.The God's Of Hell
5. In The Face Of Death.

I doubt these books are still in print but you may find them at a good used bookstore or online.

They're actually pretty easy to find. Amazon you can get em for a buck or less sometimes.

A Darkman thread? Hell yeah!!!

I love this movie so much. Its so wacky and filled with great action and story.

And did anyone notice how the Mission Impossible movies took many things from this movie?

- The helicopter in a tunnel bit

- The face-mask

-The cigar lighter cutting fingers off

-Disguising one of the bad guys as the hero so that other bad guys will kill him

The first movie is good fun. Great performances by Liam Neeson and whatshisface playing Durant certainly help alot.

The sequels are awful though. The replacement actor for Neeson is rubbish. His south african accent gets on your nerves. Even the producers of the movie seen to realise this and have him appear as darkman more often than not. The third film in particular is awful ("Die Darkman Die" - yes that's what I was thinking too).

The sequels were not that bad. I didn't like the second film, but the third one wasn't too bad. And, I agree that "The Mummy" was not a good Darkman. Liam Neeson brought so much intensity to that role. That's one of the things that hurt the sequels a lot.

Man, this movie is so awesome. Just re-watched it on one of the HBO channels. Universal seriously has to release a special edition DVD. Raimi needs to get on their case about it. The man allowed 10 different versions of the Evil Dead DVD. So atleast give us ONE Darkman DVD.

A SE DVD to this would be great, this movie was awesome and highly underrated. Haven't seen it on any of the HBO movie channels or any movie channels period. Its good to know people like wierd-out there movies.
