Default Potter Fan Stages Protest After Radio Station Reveals Ending of New Book!

Actually, I found this kinda funny. Check out the detals here and here (you'll have to scroll down the page a bit).

Bear in mind that this is the station I listen to. I think its a great station, and I was actually listening when Lazlo gave away the ending. Honestly, I thought it was kind of funny. I'd already had the ending spoiled for me elsewhere (here!), and I still enjoyed reading the book, so I don't see what the big damn deal is. The station was bombarded with calls from furious Potter fans. In fact, it was so bad, that they actually spent three days dealing with calls and emails (at least on the air...they're probably still dealing with them now). I admit, I'm pretty damn fantical about things, but the guy staging the protest, and all those people that called in and *****ed and moaned about having the ending spoiled, well, I honesetly think they just need to grow up and get over it.

Oh dear. We're beginning to take Harry Potter WAY WAY too seriously...
But that is pretty funny!

Actually, I think it goes to show that some people take it waaaay too seriously. I mean, I had it spoiled here..its not like I'm gonna ban the person that did it and boycott the site. Why? Because its pointless. Its not gonna change anything. I've had movies spoiled for me before. Was I upset? Yes. Did I get over it? Of course. Why? Because its just a movie. The sky isn't gonna fall, the world isn't going to end. Besides, the Buzz is the only decent radio station in town. If I were to boycott it, then I'd be forced to listen to top 40 crap or country. I'd rather shoot myself in the face with a pellet gun.

Well, I've finished the book, but there are a lot of people that haven't. So if you are gonna post spoilers, keep 'em in the spoiler thread for now. I mean, I don't want people staging protests in my name because I let people give away the ending of the book.

yeah but my point is if you REALLY dont want anything revealed...stay away from anything that might have spoilers or reviews...

Course it would be anoying if it was revealed but yes I would have got over it too!

Thing is, he wants to have people congregate outside the studio, tomorrow at three, when Lazlo's shift starts. Funny thing is, Lazlo and the other two on his show won't even be there. On Fridays, they broadcast from a local bar. So, there is going to be this big protest, and the object of their ire isn't even going to be there! HA!

Potter fans should lock themselves in their rooms until they finish the books (and a few of them should be locked up a lot longer I'd imagine )
My sister isn't done reading her copy - but I'll enjoy reading it too even though I've heard spoilers.

Its a pity that you're not close enough to listen to the Buzz. This has been a hilarious week so far, what with all the HP fan backlash thats been going on. Its really f'in hilarious.

I find that the most stupid thing ever. Of course a radiostation would spoil the ending to a book because that is what they do. They know a million people are listening and they are only trying to rally a "protest" or get some excitement. Which I find stupid.

But seriously, I found out the whole "spoiler" a couple weeks before the book came out. It did not spoil it for me, but I guess either way, people need to realize that is a ... damn ... book. As long as they did not spoil HOW it happened, I don't see what the problem is. It only makes you want to read more, least, that is how it happened with me.

*tisks at all the people*
