Fox's "Prison Break"

i also thought this show looks cool too. it is kinda like that show "Oz". it starts in June, so its not the long from now. here is some info on it:

So is this a limited series sort of thing, or will there be new characters and a new prison break each season? Or will it just abandon the idea for the next season and follow the brothers on the run?

Don't understand what is so appealing about this. Maybe the preview I saw just wasn't that interesting.

Maybe interesting. My wife loves to watch prison shows and was all over OZ, although I never got that caught up into it. Give me the Shawshank Redemption anyday!

However, I wonder if the Fox folks will try to jazz up the pubicity machine by throwing in a few Oz-like moments (shower rapes, graphic shivs, etc.) which will never make it to television and will generate a "storm of controversy" just to generate attention.

I'm watching tonight. Check out the trailer on the official site. Don't think it will beat Alias and Lost story-wise, but it still looks interesting;

Well this appears to be the best drama of the new season but this season has no great dramas like Lost, 24, Alias etc. Its different from other shows so I'll be watching. Reviews say you'll either enjoy it or hate it depending if you have a sense of disbelief. But its great to see some original shows make it on network tv. I guess it depends on how big the ratings are, if they'll have another season etc. Most networks want shows that can last long while the basic plot for some recent shows (24, Lost) make it seem like they'll only be around for one season.

Well Mondays is Fox Night now.

Arrested Development, Prison Break and possibly Kitchen Confidential. Entertaining two hours.

Fox is reairing the two episodes on Thursday.

I thought it was aright, just aright though. I found it really stereotypical when it came to the whole prison, alot of stuff that's been over used in many prison films. Acting was decent I guess. I didn't get that same tension that I do when I watch 24 though, i'll give it a few more episodes though.

I agree with you. It was okay enough for me to try and follow for a few more weeks. But like you said, there wasn't any real tension. At least with a show like 24 you get a couple of good "OH *****" moments, even in the season premeires.

and yes, too many typical prison stereotypes... that was a bit tiresome.

but yeah this was okay. we'll see where they go with it.
