Default Tarantino?

Hey everyone, I've never seen a Tarantino film in my life (I saw Desperato with him in it though) and I wanted to know what I should check out first. Pulp Fiction, or Kill Bill, Volume 1? Those are supposed to be his bests, but if Resevoir Dogs and Jackie Brown are good I'll try them also. But what are your favs that you'd recommend? Thanks.

See them all, Jackie Brown is the worst of the the 4 but it is still good.

Resevoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and then Kill Bill are the orders they were released in.

I'd kinda say check out Pulp Fiction first. Dogs is intense, and watching that as the first QT movie could put some people off. PF would ease someone into the QT way. All QT's films are wonderfull and allthough Jackie Brown is his weakest it still awesome by any standards.

I dont like Robert Rodriguez. I watched Desperato and found it to be kind of stupid. The violence was good though.

Great films, however I must admit i tried to watch Jackie Brown about 4 times and it never kept my interest.

It really doesn't matte which order you see them, but I suggest

Reserivoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill.

I haven't seen True Romance yet.

Hmm I was really interested in seeing Kill Bill but it seems like seeing it first off isn't a good idea. I've never seen Resevoir Dogs at Blockbuster but maybe I need to look harder.

Look harder I know they have it..

If you want to see Kill Bill first, by all means go ahead. The films are not related to each other.

yeah, 4 rooms rocks - also has a segment by Robert Rodriguez, who did Desperado.

Rodriguez and Tarantino are like best buddies.

Id suggest seeing Pulp Fiction first, it's just nudges over "Dogs" as his seminal work. then if youve got a taste for him, see Resevoir Dogs, then Kill Bill and Jackie brown..... If you crave more, see True Romance and From Dusk till Dawn....... and if you are yet thirstier, see Natural Born Killers.

Infact.... Hire out the first 4 movies mencioned and watch them in any order

I love QT and his movies, but i've heard he only makes movies about other movies, adding in the violence/language/blood. I can understand the connection between Resevoir Dogs and The Thing, but are there any other connections?

Actually you should watch them in order. They arent directly connected but there are things you pick up on between them.

And for the record I think Jackie Brown is better or just as good as Reservoir Dogs. It has his best dialouge to date in it.

His movies are all like that. They are stupid action, but thats what makes them great. C'mon, who the hell didn't think it was awesome when Antonio Banderas took out all those people with the hand cannons in Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

Never saw Once Upon A Time In Mexico cuz suprisingly I heard it was worse than Desperato. I think I'll get Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill Volume 1.

OUATIM is worse than Desperado. but then again Desperado had QT and Steve Buscemi.

But if you're looking for ONE movie to introduce you to Tarantino, then see Pulp Fiction. it's the most likely to get you hooked.
