Default Disney to buy Archie Comics group?

PRESS RELEASE
ARCHIE COMICS AND DISNEY INTERNET GROUP FORGE PROMOTIONAL ALLIANCE
Cross-Promotion To Drive Archie Readers To Disney.com And Disney Web Site Visitors To Archie Comics And ArchieComics.com
Archie Comics and Disney Internet Group - two perennial brands in children and family
entertainment - have joined forces to cross-promote their respective Web sites, publishing and video game launches.

Kicking off this month, the two companies will feature dedicated informational content and click-through options within their Web sites. In
addition, Disney Internet Group and Archie Comics will devote online and comic book advertising space as part of the cross promotional campaign.

Said Allan I. Grafman, President of Archie Comics Entertainment: "It is an objective of ours to create affinity relationships with media companies reaching similar demographics. Because Disney Internet Group and Archie Comics share a common target market and entertainment values, our association represents an ideal cross-promotional partnership."

I dont know. Every time I see a stand carrying comics, I see Archie there. I used to read them all the time until I hit about 14 years old. I think kids still dig Archie. Dont see it being a huge success or anything though.

Go check out the Comic book cast a character game in the comics forums.
We had some great casting choices for Archie , Betty & Veronica.

Frankie Munitz was the winner for Archie.

And back on topic, Archie is a huge seller and many "older" people buy the digests.
If you people think Archie is a dead property then you are wrong.
Archie has been an institution in comics, TV, Music, etc.
The character has been around since the 1940's, and is Much more popular than this thread has given him credit for.

The Betty & Veronica movie will be funny because they are doing it Like Josie and The PussyCats , very tongue in cheek , I actually can't wait till some new info on that unfolds.

Frankie Muniz could do it if he dyed his hair.
