I thought they were working on another movie, a part 3. Is that in the crapper?

i think a MK3 movie is dead, even though the newest game was ok. they just killed the franchise with MK3, MK4, and MK: Mythologies.

the second one was like a different character every five minutes.

in Australia you can only get part 2. what are they thinking??!! but i guess MK2 was one of the first DVDs they used to show off video quality and sound at DVD conventions back in '97.

Ed Boon and John Tobias (makers of MK) should be the one to write a new movie.

They tanked MK2 on purpose to destory the series, IMO with the success of Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, the franchise is doing well...A film might do well too.

I heard that too about the studio didn't want to do another, but was pushed so they made this craptacular farce that is MK2. All the costumes just looked to cartoony. I did like the way Nightwolf and Cyrax looked though.

i havent seen mortal kombat, but i've seen mortal kombat 2, is it called mortal kombat annihlation? the title is something like that i have it on vcd . IMO i thot it was an okay movie, kinda sucked.

i read they were makin a third one and Trish Stratus was going to play Sonya Blade, u can tell it's gonna suck from that right there. I wonder how many wrestling moves they'll squeeze in.

MK was pretty cool....corny and lame, but still cool. MK Annihilation may be the worst movie ever made. I'd rather vomit blood than watch it ever again.

I liked all of the fighting scenes in the 2nd one, but I agree it did kind of suck. I would definitly like to see a 3rd installment of the series with a bigger budget and non-cartoonish characters. Though Cyrax kicked alot of ass in the 2nd movie, he looked cool.

If done right the third flick would rock. It would have to have a good script this time around though, and they'd have to be willing to take a risk and sink some money into it....

Mortal Kombat was an awesome movie in my opinion. MK2 was a good idea gone wrong. They really f--ked it up.

The first one had the better acting and story, the second one had marginally better fights (plus they killed Johnny in the first freaking five minutes!).

If they go with a third one, gotta go back to the roots fo the story. Keep it simple and kick some ass.
