Default Opening day numbers

"The Matrix Revolutions" opened on Wednesday with $24.4 million, down from the $37.5 opening day of "The Matrix Reloaded." Doesn't look like it'll be able to match the total box-office numbers of "Reloaded" guys.

It will have longer staying power though, I think.

This is a *very* early estimate, stay tuned for the official estimate, early estimates are often wrong.

Well, if the WOM is any indication, it won't stick around very long. The reviews are horrible, and I've heard that audience reaction isn't very enthusiastic either.

I'm seeing it tonight, but I have to admit that my expectations are very low.

Next time a great movie comes around and the public demands a sequel hopefully they just leave it alone.Haven't seen the film but the Star Wars prequels, Matrix sequels, T3, MIB2, all haven't gotten the 'love' and money as the originals.

I actually haven't watched the local news today, but I've been reading reports on various websites that audiences being polled on their reaction to the movie have been mostly lukewarm at best.

It is also important to note that it's November and not May. At this time of year, people are uninterested in seeing blockbuster action movies. The weekend numbers should be stronger.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines made $418,000,000+ worldwide, and plus, the DVDs will most likely boost if up to hopefully $450 million or even more.
