Default Special Editions?!!

Here's another SE question:

Does anyone know if any of the following DVD's are up for an overhaul (good fully-loaded special editions)? Or perhaps a good site to go to find out?

Aliens
Ace Ventura
Christmas Vacation
Heat
12 Monkeys
Naked Gun (1,2)
Dumb and Dumber
The Game
Happy Gilmore
Full Metal Jacket
Office Space
Batman
The Game
Breakdown
Backdraft
Tin Cup
Payback
Predator
Spaceballs
Caddy Shack
The Mask

I'm sure there are a million more, but these were the first ones off the top of my head. It seems like comedies are really left out when it comes to good SE's.

12 Monkeys - already has a good collectors edition dvd

The Naked gun movies are in a 3 pack so I doubt they'll get overhauled again.

Christmas Vacation - Maybe because they just did a special edition of National Lampoons Vacation

The rest, I haven't heard anything on special editions for em.

That's what's so illogical, you know, about being a Smurf. What's the point of living if you don't have a dick?

Full Metal Jacket has a great Synitype Edition out. It is a silver hard box case. It comes with the soundtrack and a 35mm slide from the movie. Great edition, although very hard to find.

I purchased mine from Suncoast.

Mike Judge has said there's no way he will do an Office Space special edition.

Regarding Office Space, here's what Peter Staddon of Fox DVD said about it late last year on a chat:

Quote:
The Office Space SE is held up big time. Agents got involved and it got ugly in a hurry. I think you will see Office Space 2 before you see the SE - but I haven't given up on it.

A few moths ago Entertainment Weekly had their list of the top 50 cult films and they interviewed Mike Judge and he said he will not do it, he really hates the movie. So, if they do have one, he probably won't be involved.

He hates the movie!? He made it, didn't he? I'm sure millions around the world disagree with him.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm happy to hear we're getting an X-mas Vacation SE. Hopefully it's a little more comprehensive than the SE Vacation I just bought. I really hope we get a Criterion version of The Game.

BTW, what the hell is wrong with Mike Judge? He makes a great comedy cult classic and wants nothing to do with it? Next he'll want to disown Beavis and Butthead.

I believe the article may have been misquoted. Judge said he makes people turn the movie off when he's in the room. It could be that he was disappointed with it, or it could be that it reminds him of the box office failure/trouble with Fox, or he could feel embarrassed at how he did it (which is how Wes Anderson gets when people show his short film of Bottle Rocket).

The real reason there will be no SE of Office Space, according to Judge, is because Fox tried to stiff him on the deal.

Hasn't he already? We've had almost nothing since it was cancelled for subpar King of the Hill.
