Watching Movies With Chicks

Tonite im heading over to my girlfriends house to chill out and watch a movie. She is not a big geek movie buff like myself so im looking for suggestions on what I should rent tonite I dont want some sappy ass movie like how to piss on a guy for ten days i mean how to loose a guy in ten days.. Need somthing that she probly hasnt heard of but yet is good.. Any suggestions people..?

"Requiem for a Dream" or "In the Company of Men" would probably do nicely...

Otherwise, "Moulin Rouge" would be a good choice, IMO, but she has probably already seen it.

Also might want to consider the Zeffirelli version of Romeo and Juliet, it's very romantic.

I tryed watching Life is Beautiful but i couldn't follow all of the subtitles. It's too hard for me to watch a movie with subtitles.

well, life is beautiful does have an English dub on the DVD. Its not as great as the original, but Benigni does a decent job of playing himself in english...

well my mom only has it on vhs and i'm not going to buy dvd for the movie. If they come out with a book i'll read it.

Agreed. I mean, I love the fact how they could just leave school whenever or the supporting characters acted worse than Tckey Kayro.

you know not every chick likes movies like life is beautiful or chocolate. i think they are horrible movies. i also think the ya ya sisterhood is terrible. but why do you hate how to lose a guy in ten days? that is a comedy.
