Default Terminator Boxoffice still good...

Wow. Terminator held on for the weekend and is now at some 138 million and counting. I thought it might come in at number 9 or ten but instead it came in at number sixth. Still life in this old machine story of good and evil. It looks like the 240 million price tag on this story is starting to look somewhat smaller now that the domestic and overseas boxoffice is estimating this picture to come in at over 500 million. Then you have dvd, vcr, rental, cable and tv revenues also. And I can assure you dvd and vcr sales will be massive. Old Arnold was right from the start. This picture will make money and plenty of it. Maybe they should make it an IMAX experience like the matrix 2.

this is true, and it doesn't help much that T2 ended the way it did, basically in way that you couldn't truly see another movie being made; i know i didn't.

i think that if cameron said he wouldn't do T3 because of the time constraints (he likes to take his time to make the great movies he does), the company who owned the rights to do T3 should just give him all the time he needs to prepare a damn good script and direct the movie at the pace he feels comfortable with.

The company should know that having him at the helm rather than Mostow would more likely produce a better movie. However, Mostow did pretty good where he's coming from.

the terminator is a huge brand though.

and its true one of the reasons cameron didnt do t3 was because the producers wanted it out this year and he didnt want to conform to that.

If that was the case Cameron had 4 years to make the film...T2 was done and released in about 13 Months..... No matter how huge the brand is releasing a film 12 years after the previous one will no doubt usually be a bad idea....Image Reloaded wasnt released until 2011.....I doubt it would take as much money...

I cant figure out if that is sarcastic or not.....
Star Wars has a much, much bigger fan following than Terminator or The Matrix...Maybe even both of them combined...Alot of people live for SW...u hear alot more things about SW fan conventions and such then any other fans, maybe with the exception of Star Trek....
