I just "acquired" a copy of Coldplay's Rush of Blood to the Head

BOTH SUPERB!

I just picked up Big Sugar - Hit and Run. It's their greatest hits package with 3 new songs. If anyone out there is a fan of great blues based rock, pick this up. They are a canadian band who doesn't get alot of exposure anywhere else (that I know of). I highly reccomend this disc if you like Blues/Rock. Great CD. Has anyone else heard of Big Sugar?

I also picked up Blink 182's new album, and I love it. It's really alot more mature than any of their last albums, and they've strayed away from the pop/punk sound (which is great IMO). I know alot of you are probably going to blast me for liking Blink 182, but give it a chance. It's a great album. Robert Smith from the Cure does lead vocals on one of the songs. Great album.

Motley Crue's Generation Swine CD, which has more modern-sounding, experimental tunes than classic Crue, including "Shout At The Devil '97", which is quite possibly their best piece of music ever. Awesome stuff. AWESOME, I say!

And hey, Kris, Blink 182's got some good sh**. Dude Ranch is one of my all-time favorite albums. Okay, it's not top five or anything, probably not even top ten, but it's up there. A lot of people like to bash Blink just because they got popular, and as we all know, if it's popular it can't possibly be good (note the sarcasm in my voice there). That kind of thinking is just as narrow-minded and dumb as people who buy sh** just because it is popular, but oh well. I digress.

AWESOME record, Jimmy.

I just bought Permission To Land by The Darkness.
This band is so cool! If anyone hasn't heard of 'em, they're a total throwback to those great 70's bands, including a shreiking lead singer, a guitarist who can bust out some of the coolest solos I've heard in a while, a bassit who rocks, and a great drummer. I highly reccommend this album. Great stuff.
