Agreed. Tyrese and wife seem likely to join the group.

I downloaded and watched the finale last night... and in response, I say; WHAT THE **** WAS THAT ****???
This finale was ****ing terrible and downright awful. To say it was anti-climactic is a ****ing understatement!!!

All my buddies kept saying governor was dead, too good of a villain to kill off without having another villain to step in.

Yup, really crummy finale. It was the opposite of the season 2 finale on the excitement scale. And why

You don't build up a battle with like 7 filler episodes and have that battle last like two minutes. Lame.

'Twas a low-key affair, to be sure. Felt more like a mid-season finale.
The Governor's line at the beginning was pretty badass though. "You kill or you die...or you die and you kill." I'm assuming that's lifted from the comics? |

I watched it, even though I don't actually watch the series. I will say that from an outsider's perspective it didn't seem exciting enough for a season finale. I also had to laugh when the kid with the cowboy hat was talking to his dad, since that one conversation just gave away a whack load of spoilers to someone not caught up, like myself.

Not to mention the Governor is still out there, making Woodbury even less safe to stay at for the moment.

Well, I watched the second half of the third season tonight, and I really don't have anything positive to add.
The governor asking for Michonne back and then showing him testing out the chains where he would bind her up felt like a slap in the face since the comics actually had her in those very chains when she first went to Woodbury and was raped and tortured. Way to remind us you can and will deviate from excellent source material, writers. Furthermore, I was already angry enough as it was over how Andrea has been treated as a character since she left. In the comics, she becomes the group's main sniper as well as Rick's current love interest later on down the road. Stupid. I still think its ridiculous that Lily was nowhere to be seen, or that Tyrese went from being the first person to perish in the comics that gutted me to being a Woodbury defector. It would have been nice to see his romance with Michonne along with the governor's murder of him at the prison raid/battle. Speaking of the prison "battle:" what a crock. The battle was basically The Governor versus his own people, with Carl being the only one to kill someone? And it was someone surrendering their gun? Lamesauce. If the show is going to deviate from the intense character trials present in the comics and go the way of drama and action, they need to step up the action part. In all honesty, the pacing of this show has "soap opera" written all over it, and it's amazing how long stories drag on with such terrible and lackluster ways of tying them up. This won't be a spoiler unless you want to read the comics, but the prison battle is the end of the Governor's story, and leaving it in shambles causes the group to move on and face new challenges on the road (cannibals, groups of people who are bad news, etc.), along with a new community they encounter. For AMC to keep the Governor alive so they can cash in on his character is just petty. It's gotten to the point that people who post how much they love this show on Facebook are being judged by me as people whose opinion I will never trust. For those of you faithful to the show and who have been enjoying it, I am really sorry. That Prison war was a slap in the face. Go read the books, it's really awesome there.

Yeah I was kinda sticking with it but the finale was complete garbage. As many have mentioned anticlimactic and a lot of just plain dumbness by characters.
Ironically the mid-season finale was better.

It wasn't that bad there were worse episodes in this season than this one. Wasn't much of a finale though

I don't care about changes from the comics at all.
The biggest problem, was the episode just didn't feel like a good season finale. I don't think it was a bad episode overall, but just a lackluster finale for the season. The prison just doesn't seem that stable vs the town. I mean the prison still has zombies roaming around inside it. I think a town is a bigger bullseye overall, but in the current shape, its still a better option.

Not to mention all that food and supplies just left behind there, and the nice beds and all of the ****ing weapons and ammo, it's just bull**** that someone would even think to write an episode this way. It makes no sense from any standpoint whatsoever.
