If you ship using 'media mail' it is much cheaper than any other method for that kind of thing.

I've sold a bunch of things on ebay. People will buy from you with no feedback if you just explain this is your first time, provide good pics and set good prices.

IMO you don't make too much money after the shipping.

You can state the transaction any way you want really.
Hide it in the minimum cost of what you are selling and call it "Free shipping"
or outright state how much the shipping and handling will cost the buyer
Or just hope the bidding gains you enough to pay for the shipping yourself
