Didn't see a thread on this, so if I missed it, please merge or whatever. Saw this tonight, and while I usually like horror movies, I find most of them anything but creepy (exorcist movies - not even slightly scary). But, I really like Del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth and have always appreciated his movie. While this was no Pan's Labyrinth, it was still well done for what it was. I liked the unexpected jumps and felt they were well placed. The weakest part of the movie was the ending I felt, which seemed to sort of downplay Mama's real menacing presence to a degree. Overall, well done, but the ending maybe gave a bit too much away.

Del Toro is the only reason I'm drawn to this movie. Seeing it tonight.

Kept thinking how awesome it would be to come in as a Ghostbuster and save Jessica Chastain and company.
