Disappointing finale. Brodie should have died.

Really? I actually kind of dug it. I thought they wrote themselves in to a corner with the whole "Nazir Goes to America!" thing, but I felt the finale actually could potentially move them in to a really cool direction for S3. I was worried at first, but by the end they redeemed themselves.

agree. i liked when they showed the Brody Video on TV. It was a pretty good "oh crap" moment for him. I figured the show was going to end with something big and bad happening, but didnt think it would be to that scale.

So, any idea who the new baddie is? Is he just some guy who's out of nowhere? I like the new direction of the show, with Brody as a fugitive of sorts (we aren't 100% sure that he didn't do it, are we?).

I liked the finale alot. They did a brave thing pretty much writing Brody out of the show (I'm sure we'll still see him a bit next season).

I guarantee we'll still be seeing quite a bit of Sgt. Brody. Damian Lewis is far too good of an actor to just write out of the show, especially when he's still alive. Season 3 will probably start out with Saul believing Brody perished in the explosion (while Carrie works quietly to clear his name), and then he discovers that Brody is alive & well & heading north -- and then the manhunt begins.

Man, even when that poor guy doesn't want to be a terrorist, he's still a terrorist, lol.
The finale was okay, but too predictable. I wasn't hoping for, but expecting his death. It was just too bland and simple to have him framed, yet able to slip away so easily.

The biggest "Oh s***" of the finale for me wasn't the bomb, but when Brody's video came on the air. That was brilliant.

80%.
Why would he say "What's my car doing there?" Besides, he would have gotten further away from it. And Carrie was the one who got him out of the funeral where it woudl have killed him.

Fair enough. So, the new baddie, whoever he is, got hold of the video that Brody made eons ago (why's it so easy for people to get their hands on that video?) and blamed him for the attack? So I guess we will have a new villain from here on out. By the way, two major attacks (three, if you count the bomb in the park) in two seasons? Damn, the CIA in this universe isn't very smart.

Loved the finale, and honestly from what we have seen so far, you can't rule out Brody being responsible at all, yeah its extreme, but i think thats whats so appealing about the show and the character, we really still don't know his motives and what not. Yeah sure theres evidence that clearly points he had nothing to do with it, but at the same time there was moments in the first season that pointed to him not working with the terrorists, and we find out he actually was.
Who knows who moved his car and planted the bomb, but damn last 2 episodes were amazing. |

Felt this season drug on at times (annoying side story of the hit and run), but the finale was worth the wait. That was well done. One big complaint I have with this show though is that Claire Danes' f**kability factor has gone WWWAAAYYYY down. She's too damn good at acting crazy... almost as if it comes natural. Can't look at her the same anymore. So much for that Hollywood hottie for me.

Would have been more interesting if they would have been casualties of terrorism somehow and tied in Abu Nazir's kid's death to Brody's own kids dying. Instead, we had a "spoiled rich kids kill someone with a car and get away with it" storyline that was meh at best.

Just got done with the first season, and holy s**t is this a great show! Pretty much every episode puts me in a trance because of how good it all is.
My sister has Showtime, has gotten into the show as well, and told me all of Season 2 is still on On Demand. So, I know what I'm gonna be doing these next few days.
