Yea it looks too predictably dull. Like war horse. Come on Steven.

You shouldn't, it is historically accurate.

I agree, but some out there have express their dislike around the web. I wanted to pick a debate with those who had a problem.

People are upset he doesn't sound like Lincoln from Bill and Ted.

Spielberg needs to stick with science fiction.

That's true and historical documents have stated that he had a relatively high pitched voice, but if they made it so he had a more powerful and commanding voice, I don't think anyone other than hardcore history buffs would have had a problem with it and it probably would make the film a little bit more powerful. It was weird to me in this trailer how they didn't have Lincoln himself speak for the first half of it and then when you finally heard him speak it was pretty underwhelming.

I mean, George S. Patton supposedly also had a high pitched voice, but I don't think anyone had any issue whatsoever with George C. Scott's take on the character.

No kidding. Sounds dull. Daniel Day-Lewis and Spielberg aren't enough to make me want to pay $13 to see it. I'll wait until it hits one of the cheaper theaters in my area.

I hope the marketing on this gets better. Lincoln was a fascinating individual. I'd hate to see this bogged down by too much sentimentality.

I am going to try and pick up A team of Rivals, though I think it's something like 800 pages. Hopefully I can finish it in time.

I think this film is going to do just fine (In terms of boxoffice) Of course it's going to be mostly a mature crowed, but I think its going to do fine. It's just perfect timing. so relevant.

When did Spielberg become so boring... It was one of the most anticipated films been in pre-production for over a decade...

It's impossible for me to get excited for this movie. I should be excited, I should think it's going to be great, but we have the same trailer highlighting the same melodrama that Spielberg loves to inject into his films along with the ever more generic John Williams score. I have a feeling that this is going to be a movie that the masses will love but will drive me nuts.

Assuming the masses will even care. Between The Hobbit, Bin Laden is Dead: The Movie, and other Oscar Contenders, it could get lost in the shuffle. I mean... did anyone care about War Horse last year?

Warhorse wasn't really highly promoted. This movie has had a pretty good word of mouth even before it started shooting

Spielberg really hasn't done anything 'exciting' since Munich. He's playing it safe.

NEW Trailer:

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

Is anyone actually excited for this? This looks like the type of movie high school students will be sleeping through, in history class, for years to come.
