While I use RT to make sure movies are below 20% I really don't care once they get much higher then at. If a movie sits at 30% or 85% I may like it. I really only agree with their bottom 20% or less. otherwise personal taste kicks in, and people will like whatever.
I liked LOTR movies a lot, but don't see any reason this is a trilogy. I will probably see it at some point but I'm not really taken by all the hype at all.

The Frighteners is probably my favourite PJ movie after FOTR. Never saw Heavenly Creatures though.

for a b movie though, how many b movie directors are there? hundreds? maybe thousands? yea those b movies sure take a lot of talent to make...
no one would hold dead alive up as an example of a 'good' movie... except maybe a high schooler that didn't know any better. jackson is a hack. good thing he has other peoples adaptations to use/steal from.

I like King Kong alot...
And yeah, no real interest in the Hobbit other than seeing it on BD so I can have a real opinion on it.

Hobbit at 72%...why did I think about Star Trek and shields when I saw this thread? God, something is wrong with me.

Well, they will be showing a 9 min. clip of the new Star Trek movie with the Hobbit. That is just another plus for me.
