BIG NEWS

If I'm prepared enough with my health to go, my brother wants to drive me to GenCon 2014 in Indiana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4 days and nights of GAMING GAMING and more GAMING!!!!

Board games, card games, role playing games, miniatures games, etc. - a huge dealers room where you can see and buy games and accessories (I think it's about the size of a soccer field or more) - also lectures and demonstrations you can go see.

Thought this may be of some interest to some people here:

Double-dealing employers, heavy-handed Alliance patrols, and marauding Reavers are all in a day's work for a ship's captain at the edge of the 'Verse. Firefly: The Game is a high-end thematic tabletop boardgame from Gale Force Nine (GF9) and the first in a series of tabletop hobby board games and miniatures games from GF9 set in the Firefly Universe.

I wonder if its actually a good game. Games from other licenses usually have a bad track record.

Well, that's the same company which made the Spartacus game, which did make waves in the board game world last year.

i never noticed this thread.. weird.

I love board games. I agree on the Firefly game. At first I didn't care, but as you said, the same people made Spartacus, which is really good.

That picture is MOST of my games. I keep some of my 2-Player games in their own area (War of the Ring/Starfleet Fleet captians) - Both excellent games.

I've started to really enjoy the nice 2 to 3 player games as much as the ones that play well somewhere between 4-6 people.

I also have been lucky enough that our group players board games about every other weekend. Our game sessions can go from 6 hours to 12+ hours.

I've been debating picking up the Arkham Horror games. There are a ton of them out now, and I keep watching bulk auctions on Ebay. I will need another bookshelf soon to hold games. I already picked the Entire series 2 of Zombicide on kickstater.

I'm also thinking of grabbing more of "flying Frogg" games. I really like Fortune and glory, which has 2 expansions coming out this year, but all their games are very stylish and thematic. A key element that really clicks with our group.

Wow, you really like sci-fi and fantasy games. Like, a lot.

El Grande seems very out of place.

A 7 Wonders fan! I just got the Wonder Pack in the mail with all new player boards.
