Eh, even Neil Gaiman can't salvage this season.

There's a comment.

I find it amusing she learns the Doctor's name and then suddenly all memory is erased.

I've liked the season. it hasn't been as good as some seasons, but its in no way bad. the vibe around here is mostly negative, so I don't comment.

The comedy was a bit pressed but I like what he did with the Cybermen.
The ending was a bit weak - and telegraphed way ahead of time

The only thing I liked was Matt Smith as two people.

I actually enjoyed that episode a lot. Most out of all the Clara episodes, actually.

Sad though, I thought we were supposed to know his name? Did I miss anything?

There was an uproar in England and they removed it.

Well, the season ended on a high note, I'll give it that.

So is John Hurt suppose to be the last Doctor?

I have a theory about John Hurt. It's a ballpark one, but makes a little sense;

In the episode, the Doctor mentions becoming the Doctor, and the man that he was before was different. Then when the Intelligence is speaking to the Doctor about his lifeline, he mentions that the Doctor is just "one" of his many names that he goes by, that before he dies, he will have other names. When we finally see John Hurt's Doctor, we are instantly led to believe that he must be one of the Doctor's regenerations. But what if he isn't? What if he is one of his regenerations from his past life? From "before" he chose to become The Doctor and start anew, so to speak?

My guess is the doctor between 8 and 9 and dealt with the time war and he took another name, which allowed the current doctors to still be 9,10,11

This is pretty much exactly what I was thinking. As for his future names, Storm and Beast sound interesting. I can definitely do without The Valeyard, though. The last thing we need is a lame creation from the worst era of Classic Doctor Who returning in the modern era of the series.

I thought The Valeyard was interesting - I liked the trial of The Doctor

Anyway, good cliffhanger
