Take it from a Brewer fan who notices these things...Braun is NOT on a pedestal. He gets booed in every stadium, they chant "steroids," he didn't get voted as a starter for the All-Star for the first time...you make it sound like everyone's forgotten. And what, you think he's got a clean, controversy-free career ahead of him because you heard a crowd in Milwaukee cheering him today? He could miss the hall of fame because of a failed drug test that no one can shed any light on. Do I think Braun is completely innocent? No, something almost certainly went down in 2011. But you'd have to be crazy to think he's consistently taking PEDs, let alone steroids. Testing is a lot better these days and they're switching to blood testing soon if they haven't already.

Don't think well see Jones in right too often and wandy was due. Of course Sanchez is a great guy to bring in...
ryan braun must not have taken anything since he appealed his suspension that ended up being overturned by major league baseball .

barry bonds was and will always be an egotistical jerk so his treatment regarding the steroids everyone knows he took is well deserved .

... based off a technicality, it wasn't 'over turned' really, just thrown out, it was still a sample that was positive, they just didn't document it correctly. now he is getting more publicity because he went to that miami clinic.

testing sure is better, i mean just ask lance one nut armstrong how good testing is. i can wait. he beat every one. every single one. created an industry just to beat those tests. you think he kept them all for himself? only the biking community gets the good drugs? because baseball players sure don't have any money or anything to buy them with. whats bruans contract again?

I'm a sports purist and I think any player who has cheated (steroids, etc.) no matter if he was a nice guy, deserves to be punished for it. Both Bonds and Clemons got extra negative attention because they weren't always the nicest with the media. Getting back to the punishment, the player will always have the moniker of "once a cheater always a cheater," so I'm of the opinion that once a player has served his suspension people need to move on.

I don't at all follow your logic. Do they all have "alleged" false positives?

And doc, what if they test positive, appeal based off a technicality and win, and never serve a suspension?

Look at the reports of the nfl player that estimates about 12 players on every team are using some sort of hgh. Do you assume their testing is worse or better than mlbs?

ryan howards deal is over 120 million much bigger then ryan braun's 105 million if howard wanted to buy roids he could .

Oh, as I assumed, your logic is flawed.

That means the system is broken and needs to fix the loop holes for cheaters to take advantage of. I'd make sure that player is randomly tested on numerous occasions throughout the off season when they actually take the 'roids. Also, unfortunately this doesn't work, but it would be nice if MLB teams collectively decided to not sign the player to a contract. I say this with some reservations because I think everyone deserves a second chance and, looking at my Bluejays, they picked up Melky Cabrera who was unsigned by his former team the Giants despite having a great year but did use steriods.

First Bluejays 3 game win streak, 2 big, come from behind victories. Comes at a major price with Happ getting taken off on a stretcher last night after taking a line drive off the side of his head. The sound of it hitting was disgusting.

Happ, Johnson and Morrow all on the DL. With a semi-injured Dickey and Buerlhe's inconsistency, I hope the Jays can keep it together. Put on a power show today dumping the Red Soxs big time.

I just saw an article that suggested this 100 game suspension spree could backfire and cause more athletes to use enhancing drugs.

Start putting a no drug clause in new contracts with a lifetime ban for any infractions.

No one's going to get a 100-game suspension.

Yea they are lawyering up and id be pretty shocked if they get suspended on this guys testimony.

Although, they all deserve it.

When djokovich started dominating in the last couple years he moved to Miami.... coincidence? Maybe, but id bet not.
