The Mass Effect Trilogy, a compilation of all three award-winning games in one box, will be released on November 6 for Xbox 360 and PC in the US, BioWare has announced. The PS3 trilogy will arrive in stores at a later date.

Mass Effect 1 will also be released digitally on the PlayStation Store. Wii U doesn't appear to be getting the trilogy.

Coinciding with the launch of Mass Effect Trilogy, BioWare will kick off the first annual N7 Day, a worldwide celebration of the Mass Effect franchise on November 7, 2012. A variety of in-game, online and live events are planned.

The Mass Effect trilogy follows the rise of Commander Shepard from Alliance Marine to becoming the galaxy's most elite soldier – the only soldier who can lead an all-out galactic war against an ancient alien race known as the Reapers.

The trilogy will be priced $59.99 in the US. There's currently no word on a European release.

Yeah, it was an XBox exclusive originally.

The trilogy box-set is awesome. If you've never played Mass Effect before, the box-set is perfect. Also, I don't know how many of you are still playing the multiplayer, but it's awesome. Plus all the multiplayer DLC has been free.

I'm nearing the end of the game so I'm gonna jump into the multiplayer soon. Am I right in thinking it's mandatory if you want to achieve 100% galactic readiness?

Yeah, it's necessary if you want 100 percent galactic readiness. However, if you have the extended cut, you can get the best endings with only 3000 EMS. Are you on PS3 or Xbox?

So...that ending is a bit of a doozy...

FYI, I played with no Multiplayer bolstering and with no DLC in ME3 (I also haven't played ME1 yet). And I'm really struggling with it. Really struggling. Which sucks because practically everything single thing leading up to it was phenomenal. I'd still like to play ME1 and go through trilogy again with different choices, especially the ones that were "made" for me due to not being able to play ME1, but ****, Bioware.

Does the DLC help? And the multiplayer? I don't want to write this off just yet.

I always helped out the geth as much as I could, and had romace option with Tali going since ME2

In this game, I choose to save the Geth, but then did not have enough paragon points to stop the quarian from attacking, which caused the quarian to get wiped out an tali killed herself, then Legion destroyed himself uploading the code. (all of this to an amazingly painful CGI segment)

It was probably the most terrying moment, having to watch the quarians all die, Tali kiling herself, and then legion dying..

It was the only time in the 3 games I had to load my previous save and make enough choice. I had to choose to let the geth die, to save tali, and then legion was unhappy and attacked me, and I had to kill him.

I was still unhappy with that choice, but I could live with it.

I did the exact same thing. Though no romance with Tali.

The Extended Cut dlc does clean up the ending. It still isn't perfect and a lot of fans still hate it, but it is better.

Might do a femshep campaign this year and get to see the new ending that way

Next time I play through it, I'm going with my Liara file. I'm done with Ashley, she's annoyed me enough.

I never met Ashley. Literally. The game decided I killed her and that was that. I'm kind of curious as to what she like. It's like this parallel universe to me.

She's blergh. In the first game, she spent a lot of it either talking poems and her family, or being racist against the aliens on the Normandy.

The second game is her being mad that you're working with Cerberus, then sending a space letter later to apologize (with more poems).

As for the third game, imagine what Kaiden does, but replace him with Ashley. It's pretty much the same.

It's just interesting to me from a storytelling point of view. People keep referencing her and I even have dialog with an emotional coloring toward her, but I personally have no concept of this woman.

She's like a ghost that's moved into my attic.

But on a whole I found my alien teammates waaaaaaaaay more fascinating to interact with. With the exception of Miranda and Joker (and some others to a lesser degree).

I couldn't stand Yeoman Chambers. At all.

No argument there. The alien crew is some of the most likable characters in the franchise.
