Hi all!
Anyone looking forward to seeing Killer Joe? It's a new film by William Friedkin (The Exorcist ) and stars Matthew McConaughey as a tough as nails badass Southern hitman. The trailer looks amazing! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxpvzmvFHTM Has anyone had the chance to see this? I've already pre-ordered it!

Yes, really looking forward to seeing this! Have pre-ordered my Blu-Ray.
This film blew me away from start to finish, I loved the theme, the setting, the intensity and (perhaps most of all) the casting - couldn't have been better if you ask me. I think one of its greatest strengths is the how it's able to pull the emotions involved all about the place. How I personally felt for some characters by the end of the film is never what I expected. By the way, love your description of Joe, couldn't have put it better myself

I found an interview with Juno Temple and it really showed her passion for the project, which shows during the film. You can see it here. Would you agree? |

I know it looks like a spammer started this but this was pretty good.
MM's performance was absolutely fantastic! Wasnt a huge fan of how it ended though. |

Great casting to - especially since you'd normally associate his with romantic leads - well I do anyway! Glad you liked it

Definitely the most ****ed up movie I've seen in a long time. And right now, I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. It was never boring, the direction was good, and Matthew McConaughey was excellent, but I'm still not sure what I thought about the movie as a whole.
The last 20 minutes are absolutely insane and "holy s**t!" worthy, though.

I thought the trailers for this looked pretty cool. Maybe I'll get a chance to see it. I still need to see Mama and Movie 43
