Love Kevin Bacon so I'll check it out, but it seems like it should be on HBO or Showtime rather than Fox.

The networks wanna catch up to cable, so this is a good start.

That's good, because they've really been retreating back into mediocrity these last 2 or 3 years.

There's only one show of quality on TV these days: Two Broke Girls.

It was good indeed. But it is all about the second episode if it will remain good.

I want to watch this, but I think it'll be just another 24 or prison break where by the fourth episode there's 20 twists and I just stop caring.

I'm liking it so far, but this is another example of a serialized show where it takes forever for something substantial to be accomplished.

I've been enjoying this show. I really feel it will depend on how they wrap up their final episode next week to see if I feel the season has been a success or not.

They can only go so far trying to capture someone and if the show continues they will need to work out some decent ways to do it, that is not just stupid

Agreed.

Despite the show's increasing ridiculousness, I've kept watching all season because it HAS kept me curious enough to do so. Kevin Williamson has said this show is heavily influenced by 24, so I hope that means there's a different storyline each season. If Season 2 is gonna continue what's going on now, then they'd better have something justifiable for it in the season finale next week.

Stopped watching it after Natalie Zea's character gave herself up to be taken. If you want a show in a somewhat similar vein, check out Hannibal. It's crazy how much better it is than this.

Whenever I see a commercial for Hannibal I think it looks too pretentious (I'm probably just crazy though)

Natalie Zea is too hot for me to stop watching this show. Sorry not sorry.

There was enough of her at the end of this season of Justified for me to stop watching The Following

This show is ****ing terrible. Worst **** I have seen on TV since Heroes took a nosedive. I can't even begin to list every instance of lazy, convenient writing at every single turn of this show. The police/FBI on this show are the worst police/FBI I have seen in any movie, even worse than when Martin Lawrence pretended to be a cop in Blue Streak. The interrogations are ****ing awful. The hostage negotiations are ****ing awful. No one ever wants to use enough backup when it is needed. When a cop checks the room for you, he doesn't check all the connecting doors and rooms. When a killer has already snuck a victim through a false wall in their home, no one seems to check all the nooks and crannies of the next house the next victim is in.

Cop: Hey, two people next door were just murdered, a little boy is being held on the property by cult members, and you are some sketchy guy in a barn. Don't come any closer or I'll shoot.
Sketchy guy: (moves closer)
Cop: Don't move closer! I mean it!
Sketchy guy: (moves closer)
Cop: You shouldn't do that, I'm warning you!
Sketchy guy: (moves closer, disarms cop, kills cop)
Me: You deserved to die, idiot cop.

Oh, you see the killer up on the second floor of a large convention building? Yes, while we are behind a large crowd of people on the first floor with a humongous set of stairs ahead of us, let's start screaming "FBI" and cause a giant scene so we can alert him.

Oh, Kevin Bacon has a bad heart? Let's make sure that acts up at every convenient moment so we can further the plot and tension some more.

Protagonist: Don't kill her, kill me instead, I am coming to you now.
Antagonist: OK, I won't kill her now, I will kill you - come get me. (let's woman live/go)
Protagonist: OK, here I am you can kill me now.
Antagonist: Oh, I don't want to kill you.

The main killer, Joe, leads every conversation and interrogation. He manages to completely unseat law enforcement emotionally every time they try to ask him anything - he plays games when it's convenient for the plot, but then gives straight answers when it's also convenient. They don't play mind games with him, they just start yelling and demanding immediate answers, there is no intelligence to their questioning. When someone is about to get captured, guess what? The wardens, the lawyers, the Marshals, the FBI agents, the cops, they all have been infiltrated, brainwashed, and/or coerced by one idiot college professor who is overtly obsessed with Edgar Allen Poe, conveniently allowing people to escape entire law enforcement dragnets. No one seems to use a helicopter when it's logical to, people lose their **** and scream randomly at the worst moments.

The AV Club has spot-on reviews, and a lot of people seem to think this show is so bad it's good, but it's not - it's awful and it makes me absolutely angry how stupid every moment is.

Oh, ok, now let's bring in this hard-nosed FBI bigwig who shuts down every possible lead and attempt to get ahead in the investigation, cuz lazy plot.

"Hey, this one guy didn't answer his cell phone, HE IS OBVIOUSLY IMMEDIATELY IN DANGER"

"We are going to torture you if you don't tell us where the woman is ....... how do you like this torture, yeahhhhhh, torture torture torture ...... ok, we don't really need you to tell us where she is, we can find her without you, but doesn't this abandoned warehouse look so cool? And wasn't us torturing you just so edgy and interesting?"

Random person murdered in a cafe. Her dining companion is told to deliver a message to Ryan Hardy. Ryan Hardy just happens to show up at random cafe killing right after it happens before dining companion has even given her statement mentioning Ryan Hardy.
