Arnold Schwarzenegger's first leading role in nearly 10 years is a flop at the box office. The Last Stand grossed $2 million during its opening weekend.

I was kind of rooting for that movie given that it was director Kim Ji-woon's English language debut. Not rooting for it hard enough to actually see it, but rooting for it none the less. Hopefully Stoker will do better so as not to further discourage Korea's genre directors.

Ah, yes. My bad. Still... it opened in 10th place and $6.3 million is bad for the guy who once ruled the box office. If this were a small indie film, I could understand. But it's not. It's his big action-packed return to cinemas.

We have the first hit of 2013. Despite a blizzard on the East coast, "Identity Thief" is on track to open with $30-35 million. Audiences sure love Melissa McCarthy. Even though the movie is critically panned, it's getting positive reactions from theatergoers.

Identity Thief is now the first 2013 movie to reach $100 million at the domestic box office. The Melissa McCarthy comedy era has begun. I'm sure Doomsday will be thrilled

Jack the Giant Slayer opened with $7 million yesterday. By comparison, John Carter's opening day last March was $9.8 million.

If Oz had RDJ I think it would have been a bigger hit but also to be fair It is allot better film then any other movie released yet this year. Die Hard 5 and Sly and Arnald all got luke warm movies. I liked Die Hard best out of those.

Its a needed boost for lets face it the BO and the movies have been a dud. I however am not sure it will make back its budget domestically but WW should maybe get a sequel. Which I would like to see a New Dorothy in this setting.
