I basically use Netflix as my main tv source now since I pulled the plug on my cable over a year ago. Between that and Hulu I'm basically paying $17 when I was paying $80 for cable. I use my PS3 to watch them and it works out great. I could see doing the disc option if there were a number of hard to find films or if you were an active CS Film Club member but otherwise I hardly used it toward the end. If I want to really see something new I'll just go to redbox. Any way you cut it any combo of those things is cheaper than cable of which 95% of the channels I would never watch.

sports is the only reason i still have it myself. and its just easier to watch hbo than to pirate it... just a hassle.

they've been pretty bad for a while now... just going through the motions. first couple seasons are gold though.

I haven't seen the last two seasons, but the last few episodes I saw were pretty bad. Filled with product placement and bad jokes.

product placement isn't so bad, just the nature of the beast, but the writing is what is getting obnoxious. no changes in characters, everyone has become a caricature of themselves, trying to 'out extreme' the other characters.

Season 6 is where it jumped the shark I think. I just watched a couple from 7....yeesh.

Yeah, 5-7 were bad compared to the first 4. This was glaringly obvious when I watched all 7 seasons back to back early this year. 8 hasn't had what I'd call a classic episode yet but it seems funnier than the last few seasons at least.
Maybe I'm overestimating it after missing my Sunny fix for the last 6 months... |

My big gripe with the show is that they changed Frank's character. Before he was the guy kinda horning in on the action but he was rich, bought part of the bar and had a place that wasn't entirely part of the group. He sort of lorded over everyone using his money and still acted like a warped dad figure in a way. And he certainly wasn't stupid and moronic, which is what he is now. He's basically Charlie only 30 years older. I know they made him say that 'he wants to live on the frings' but that doesn't mean he gets dumber.
And Sweet Dee is really irritating most of the time and the least funny character on the show.

In September, Disney attempted to attract new audiences for Once Upon a Time, Revenge, and Scandal by putting season one of those shows on Netflix before the premiere of their second season. Now, Warner Bros will try the same. Revolution and the upcoming Kevin Bacon series The Following will be on Netflix. And for you cult show fans, Chuck and Fringe will be added as well.
