So basically all the good choices won't be used because they're busy. Just think, the director of Star Wars Episode VII...will be someone who's not very sought out.

I think Vaughn, Favreau, and Johnston are the only ones who won't say, "no." So unless they can think of more directors to consider, it will probably be one of them three.

EDIT:

Also, keep in mind that Disney wants to make standalone Star Wars movies that aren't part of the main franchise. I think this is why Nolan and Fincher haven't turned them down just jet. If I'm not mistaken, I think Fincher even went on record about that.
