I guess what I'm saying is, it took me a really long time to write this to you guys, and it's not even that good. Pretty sappy, no punchlines, kind of vague about my future with the show, too little excitement about the new gig, etc. Okay, so not my best work. Maybe I'll take it down and not say goodbye just yet. I just need a little more time.

The bright side, as always, is that Community is still scheduled to haunt NBC for 13 more episodes, flickering in and out of the visible astral plane for at least one more time, at some point—and Ganz wrote two of those possibly last episodes ever, "Advanced Introduction To Finality" and "Paranormal Parentage." And for Ganz, by working at Modern Family, she will finally have access to the hot-and-cold-running Emmys that the show enjoys. ("The desk in my office seems a bit wobbly," Ganz will say on her first day. "Here, just shove some Emmys under there," her new co-writers will reply.) But of course, for any Community fan still holding out hope for life beyond the fourth season, this is yet more sad news that you don't even feel anymore. Who feels anymore?

Are there still fans who are suffering under the delusion that there will be a fifth season? The best we can hope for is four seasons and a movie.

No one expects a 5th season. To make the 4th season a cliffhanger type ending is just a bit silly. For a show like this a cliffhanger doesn't really matter anyway, but there is no way this show comes back. I love it, but it is dead.

tnt/tbs would be genius if they swooped in after it was canceled and pulled a southland/cougartown.

then put out blu rays like a well run show would.

Community college is only 2 years, so there's no "senior year" but other than that nitpick, I really enjoyed Abed's multi-camera version of the show. You can tell that was a jab at NBC. It's probably what they prefer Community to be. I mean, they ALMOST paired it up with Whitney. By the way, wouldn't it be hilarious if Fred Willard did replace Chevy Chase as Pierce?

Not only that, but it was a great idea for Abed's escape to be in a sitcom where things never change from one episode to the next. It was the right amount of fourth wall-breaking, pop culture referencing and meta mixed into one.

But other than Abed's storyline, that episode was pretty dull.

dean pelton now lives next door to jeff, weird.

thought they went to extra lengths to try to assuage fans of the show, telling us it might not be the same, but the cast is still there, so it should be alright.

Some people are complaining that it isn't the same. I disagree. Abed's special place is very Harmon-esque, although everything else was rather weak and uninspiring. So, I guess I can see where the complains are coming from.

I feel like the new showrunners were trying a little too hard to prove that they weren't going to water down the show's weirder elements and the result was kind of a mess.

Actually in some states you can obtain your 4 year bachelor's at community college and Colorado is one of them.

The first episode had a lot of pressure on it and the delay before it came out didn't help the expectations as they built up.

It wasn't that great of an episode, but every season has a couple episodes that are just "ok".
