My ranking of the 17 movies that I've seen this year. Number 1 was easy, the rest were difficult. I also realize I haven't seen near enough movies as I normally do in a year. Fixing that on my New Year's Resolution list. Probably will be seeing one or two more before January comes.

1. The Avengers

2. Skyfall

3. The Bourne Legacy

4. The Dark Knight Rises

5. The Hunger Games

6. The Hobbit

7. The Expendables 2

8. Wrath of the Titans

9. The Amazing Spider-Man

10. Won’t Back Down

11. Man on a Ledge

12. Red Dawn

13. The Lucky One

14. The Grey

15. Premium Rush

16. Gone

17. The Vow

I don't think Skyfall's budget is that high. It might be the most profitable film of the year.

Skyfall's budget was $200 million, just $20 mil less than The Avengers.

World Wide wise Id say The Hobbit should catch and Go over Breaking Dawn and maybe Ice Age to be 4th. Not sure Hobbit has legs to catch Skyfall World Wide wise.

Domestically
I am thinking it will finish at 265 Mill at the most.

Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal should stop worrying about all those torture scene critics in Hollywood and Washington DC. Not only did the controversy fuel filmgoers’ curiosity across the country this weekend but also inside the U.S. intelligence community. As Zero Dark Thirty broke nationwide, the #1 theater in the country Friday was just minutes from CIA Headquarters in Langley, VA. The top 4 screens were all within the DC area.
